"my man and I have booked a table for dinner and were informed that we would put ourselves in the house because of the weather conditions that were cold and windy. we arrived and were directed at a table. when I asked the waitress, she said that she was confused. boss and there was actually only one table in the restaurant and it was outside. it would not have been for the fact that we had traveled some distances to reach the restaurant, and there were no other restaurants around, we would have gone. we had no choice but to sit on this table (despite having no jumper/coat to wear) and were said we could move in later. there was no excuse, but a sharp, rude response from the waitress that this was the only table, although we explained that we were sleeping an 8 months old baby in a stroll that would get cold. she couldn't have taken care of less. we ordered and ate our main course outside. after that we asked again if we could move to the house after many people left the restaurant. they told us that the people who had booked for the later evening were sitting inside (the fact that we had also booked to stay inside) was the priority and we have to sit outside in the cold. the waiting employees were incredibly rude and were not apologetic anyway, or the understanding of our situation with a young child. we have never had such a bad restaurant experience or have been treated with such uneasy before. eating was totally subdued and with so many other beautiful restaurants on il de ré I would not waste their time or money here, especially if they have children."

"As many reviews comment, this place is very expensive for what it is. We had a good meal, especially good food, but not this special. At €192 with only 2 glasses of wine it was about 50% more than most comparable meals we had. The ambience is missing. A tiny round table, the style chairs of the director who were too high and put too much pressure on the back of the thighs. No beautiful nibbles with our aperitif (only a few olives, no **** en bouche, none of the touches you would expect at even 2/3 of these prize winners. Eat a little decorated; smoked salmon came with a few cold Bonis and a Dill dimmer. Oyster good, but nothing special. St Pierre was very good, but is only the fish veg and potatoes extra and the choice was “Roast” (Grenville, really or purée potatoes, spinach (intens part and sucrine (letter! for €4 per serving). Lamb hack excellent, but no veg with him, and it's not really with salad... St Marcellin (view from the fridge the only cheese option, and a chocolate mousse dish that was delicious but uninteresting. Bottles of wine ludfully expensive. We had a bottle of beer, a glass of white Bergerac, a glass (very beautiful Bordeaux, Carafe water, total cost 30 €. Will we go back to St Martin next time? Probably not. But it was a much better experience than L’Avant Port where we had a rather fraudulent review 4 years ago; we had thought we would give him another attempt, but after the last reviews, it has not improved."
