"This great little restaurant has been under new management for just over a year. The dining room has been refurbished beautifully, and the day that we visited it was very busy, mainly with locals enjoying lunch. There is a relatively extensive menu or set meal...for per head including starter, main course and pudding and a pichet of rose wine. Starters on the day we visited were a Provencal tart (sadly sold out by the time we got there), house terrine (home made, excellent quality) or tomato, mozzarella salad with pesto dressing (again very good). Main courses were roast chicken served with chips (a little dry but very tasty), bavette steak with chips (excellent, very tender meat and well cooked, but we only had one portion of this as it was sold out) and a marinated pork which was offered as the bavette ran out, (beautifully tender and well flavored). Puddings were a chocolate and red fruit mousse, which was delicious, an apricot, plum and apple crumble (super) and my mum had a plate of carpaccio thin slices of pineapple with crystallized lemon as she hadn't wanted the set choices. Very good service, excellent value and a really pleasant venue. This isn't fine dining, but well cooked local food, served nicely and in a pleasant restaurant with a good atmosphere. Overall, a good find and somewhere we'll be going again"
