"We stopped off here on our way down to Italy. We always try to make time for lunch in Alsace as the food is so consistently good and this house is no exception. We were only sad we hadn't booked a room for the night! Perhaps next time? Lunch menu was 29.80, which is not cheap but was good quality, with a cjhoice of home smoked salmo or slade folle (with foie gras) as starter. The main was veal with fresh chanterelles and home made spätzli noodles. The portion was so large, we had problems finishing it! Then came the choice of pudding, which had to be ice cream due to space problems, otherwise the chocolate dessert looked rather tempting...We had a glass of gewürztraminer with the starter for 9.80 and a glass of pinot noir for 6.50 , which slipped down very smoothly. All in all a very satisfactory meal. The restaurant was full, which for a Saturday lunchtime says it all."
