"This restaurant has a wonderful view towards the snow-covered Pyrenees and all the way to Cap de Creus as well as down over the valley below leading to Amer. We went up for the Sanctuary and a super walk to the 'Enchanted Rocks ', and after the walk looked into the restaurant on the off-chance they could accommodate us without a reservation at 13:20 on a Sunday! The manager was very helpful and laid a table for us at a window with no fuss. It took a while for them to take our order as they were very busy, but once the order was taken the food arrived promptly and was very good, especially the starters (seafood salad and escalivada con anchoas). The service was excellent throughout, and the restaurant was light and bright and airy, making the most of the great location. Price was 22€ per person all in, not unreasonable for a Sunday in such a location, it is more like 16€ on weekdays. Note there is limited parking at the sanctuary and the access road is steep and winding. Approach from Olot on the C153 via Las Preses and St Esteve d 'en Bas heading for Coll de Condreu, and turn off right signposted Sanctuari de Salud. An alternative route from the coast goes on the C63 via Angles and Amer towards Olot and turns left onto the C153 at the roundabout near St Esteve d 'en Bas. After lunch we drove on to Coll de Condreu and turned left there to Santuari de El Far. Here there is another spectacular view of almost 300 degrees from a cliff promontory. There are picnic facilities and a snack bar as well as a Catalan restaurant (not yet tried, it looks a little dark)."
