"The only downside to The Front Parlour is that it is not open in the winter, so it's open April to the very end of September only. What's good? Well, where do we start? Easy access either the beach, or from parking on the seafront, down a side street, or a 100m walk from the main carpark. A small frontage with outside tables reveals a two storey tardis like interior, with well spaced tables in a light, bright and quirky interior. Think modern Victorian library, and if you book ask for a sea view table.A senior pair of staff drill and manage an enthusiastic and efficient young local friendly team. The wide selection of food is well priced, of good quality, prepared well and cooked to a good standard, which is far better on all levels than many other local establishments. Portions are generous, but beware if you fill up too much on a main course, you will miss out on the delight of a genuine homemade and coming back for more desert. So forget the waistline, just taste the quality, and if you think it will be too much then choose a child's portion main.A Sunday lunch for two child's sized mains, a desert each, and two cups of coffee each came on each of our numerous visits to between £30 and a maximum of £35. In other seaside resorts that could easily be £50, for something of far less quality.Fun, enjoyable and good quality in a quirky, light and homely space, with service. Well worth a visit, we never regret a meal it's just that it's not open in winter."

"Where to start. From what I can understand from reviews and speaking to the locals they don't visit here any more and I can see why. Lets start with the dangerous, they have a large trampoline on the grass area which has no safety netting or barrier and its not sunk into the ground. Also has some holes in it. This is a broken bone with kids (or even drunk adults) just waiting to happen. Trying to keep the kids off it is a nightmare. There is also a ropy swing (ropy in both senses of the word) hanging from a tree. I'd say safe(ish) but for less weighty occupants. Now the food. Edible but sub standard. Looking at the burger menu and when it arrived I did initially think it looked good . However just no flavour. Had a chicken burger when came in thick batter and zero seasoning so just tasted like a batter burger. Chips also nice and think but oily inside. I'm not a fan of a McD's but I would rather have had that than this. Now the Rude. Never in all my years have I come across such poor customer service. Swearing behind the bar and when trying to raise an issue I'm greeted with hostility, swearing and rude behaviour. I won't go in to the detail online as I tried to raise it with them directly the right way... however fell on deaf ears. I would say if your reading this in June 2023 or beyond then try the place out! as the current owners/managers will have gone out of business by then. Hopefully someone with even an ounce of customer service will be running it. Try to end on a positive... The drink was nice...!"
