"If I could have rated this lower I would. I have literally just left this restaurant, and returned to hotel to write this review. So much was wrong with our visit to this restaurant. Firstly, we lined up approx 20 minutes to be seated. Our mistake, we should have used the time to read reviews. Once seated, we waited more than 20 minutes for a waiter. No water…no nothing. Eventually I called somebody over and she didn’t even acknowledge, she just walked away. About 5 minutes later a waitress arrived. We were placing drink orders while other diners who were seated after us were receiving their appetisers. We watched many people seat themselves, clear tables themselves, etc before they we’re acknowledged. Many people chose to leave. The food… well, in short it was terrible. We ordered melon and prosciutto which looked like something a 5 year old served. Just melon with prosciutto draped over it. Nothing more. Partner ordered capresse ravioli, which we suspect was ricotta, and was bland. I ordered spaghetti carbonara which was a very strange colour and lacked any flavour. Aperol spritz, in my opinion was not genuine aperol. Tasted horrible and I should have realised not to ordered when I saw several other tables had left theirs unfinished. Finally, despite taking our order not more than 2 minutes earlier, waitress one tried to deliver a bottle of red wine and two glasses. We advised, not ours. She returned two minutes later again, insisting it was ours, we again told her no. We finally got the drinks we ordered, followed by waitress two trying to give us two cokes. Something is really off with their system. Long review, but in short… don’t go here."

L 'app FAMOSA sponsorizza foto diverse in sintesi.

"From the outside, this restaurant looked so inviting, warm lighting, and a sleek authentic italian-style decor that made us want to have dinner here. Unfortunately, pizzeria Aurora did not live up to what we had hoped. We were firstly greeted by staff with a cold smile, taking us to our table, handing us a very long and confusing menu that was really hard to understand. The atmosphere, while good, was way too busy for the evident capacity of the restaurant, and it seemed that there was a complete lack of staff for the guests. The whole evening me and my family felt like an inconvenience to the rude and rejecting staff members when asking for a drink, and we felt rushed in our ordering (besides one waitress who was really kind and patient). Once we had ordered, it was quite a relaxing wait, watching the ambience and food coming out, but it only went downhill from there. Me and my mother were given our food, prawns and a risotto, and thought we should wait before eating, as my father and my brother had ordered pizzas. After 10 minutes, we began eating our food, both pizzas still not arrived. The risotto extremely undercooked and bland, and the prawns not cleaned properly (black and brown juice when I tried to shell them, and a gritty texture). The waiter cleared our food after 45 minutes, still no pizza had arrived, we were considering leaving because the service was extremely poor- it was so difficult to raise the issue to a member of staff as they were forever running around and avoiding eye contact with tables. Finally, after an hour, the pizzas arrived, though they were tasty, a meal is meant to be served together- not in two separate courses. It was such a shame, as we only visited Sorrento for a couple days, and this was a ruined evening, we even considered not paying, but didnt want to ruin the night even further by causing an argument- it seemed like many tables were also unhappy, one table of 6 walked out, and another arguing with the managers at the front desk about the bad service. Once we had asked for the bill, it was given to us by an older lady, presumably the owner, who seemed extremely dismissive and stared at us for a good few seconds after handing us the receipt- with not good value for money, costing us $145 overall. We absolutely did not leave a tip, nor did we eat desert which we had planned to, and we most certainly will never be visiting this awful restaurant again- would much rather go to other places just down the road with superb service. Do not dine here, you will regret it!!!"
