"On New Year's Eve, we decided to try this restaurant after hearing great reviews. We were not disappointed! We ordered a munch box for £13.50 and it was absolutely delicious. It included curry sauce, chicken balls, salt and pepper chicken, salt and pepper chips, prawn toast, spring rolls, spare ribs, fried rice, sweet and sour sauce, and prawn crackers - all of which was more than enough for two people. The service was excellent, and they even gave us two free cans of soda and fortune cookies for the New Year. We left very satisfied and will definitely be returning soon. Thank you!"

"We are regular customers at this restaurant because the food is consistently fantastic. Steve loves the southern fried Parmo, which he always says is excellent. The new menu offers a variety of delicious fish dishes, and I highly recommend the Parmesan Cod loin. Despite not being vegetarian, I was blown away by their vegetarian Thai curry. Recently, I was feeling cold and tired and in need of some comfort food. I decided to try the slow cooked brisket with butternut squash puree, mashed potatoes, and vegetables, and it was delicious. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is welcoming and friendly. Thank you for a great experience."

"As you walk in the place looks nice really nice place to eat. Food seams highly priced for the area it's in but food ordered and when it's arrived looks fantastic really well presented and tasted really nice, sadly when I need the toilet words can't describe how badly these were, please please if anyone knows how works here please update these toilets to explain these are the worse toilets iv ever been in. Black mold on the ceiling and the smell was very very off putting. It's a shame as I'll probably never go back here because of this. Hope somewhere works here reads this as this place could do so much better."

"Myself and my family visited this cafe yesterday, but unfortunately could not believe the absolutely bad service we received. I have visited the cafe in the past, which I have to say is very mediocre, but passable. Nevertheless, on ordering our food, I asked for a childs meal+drink, which she went off to get the drink, then came back to me, to which I asked for a dinner+cup of tea, then proceeded to give me a ticket number, went to the tea machine, as I still talking saying I haven 't finished yet, came back and then I asked how much some chips were to go with a breakfast, she said £1.20 for a bowl, to which I replied is that the same price for a few chips on the plate, she added yes, they just come in a bowl, so I then replied that 's okay then . We eventually received the childs meal, my dinner, bowl of chips, AsI had been in previously a few days ago, ordered a breakfast then too, which took forever had to ask where it was,?? I just thought they obviously take a while to do it,but as the chips were getting cold I asked the young girl where the breakfast was, she went off to ask, the next thing we saw was the blonde woman practically storming down the aisle to us, literally started shouting at me saying I didn 't order the breakfast,even though I had a whole conservation about the chip saga, she then admitted I asked about the chips with the breakfast, hence contridicating herself!!?? My daughter then said it doesn 't matter as were pushed for time, then started with an absolutely disgusting attitude towards me daughter, we were gobsmacked!!! Could not believe what had just happened!!. On my previous visit, the same woman had a terrible dig at an elderly couple whom complained of a cold draught to which they moved tables, myself my friend was also witness to this, as the things on the ceiling were wafting about, she again very abruptly said we don 't have any aircon, your wrong, it must be the draught from the door!!! bearing in mind, no one came through at the time, I thought then, was there any need for her attitude?? I thought she must be having a bad day, but felt sorry for the couple. Hence, to say after enduring this latest fiasco, please be warned Enter at you peril!! This person needs to require some good customer service skills asap, or she,all have no customer 's."

"We had high expectations of Crathorne Hall and were looking forward to a special treat of Friday evening dinner. The grounds and entrance are stunning, and create a real sense of anticipation as you walk on the red carpet into the building. We had pre dinner drinks in the lounge drawing room. A waitress knocked our candle over and spilled hot wax on the table and my handbag; not to worry, these things happen. My partner's vodka and coke came as vodka and lemonade; everyone makes mistakes. Waiter asked if that was spilled wax and told us not to worry he was sure he could clean it up later, as if we'd done it!! We went into the restaurant for dinner. A party taking place next door meant that instead of low key romantic atmosphere, we were treated to Twist and Shout, Happy Birthday etc. Amuse bouches arrived beautiful but bland. One of my forks was clotted with old food so I requested a clean one. Starters arrived I was given a tomato tart. I'd ordered the tomato sponge but apparently that was off and I should have been told. I wasn't and I wouldn't have ordered a tart. But it was either have it or sit waiting whilst my partner looked at his and waited too, so I had the tart. Nothing wrong with it but nothing striking either ;little flavour. Same verdict for the pate. Ordered glass of dry rose not asked what size served me a large one was pretty sweet. Mains arrived. Ribeye was missing the Peppercorn sauce we ordered. This then came after reminding staff, was poured over steak before discovering it was a thin, extremely peppery reduction which presumably was waiting to have cream added to it. Ruined the steak although my partner made the best of it. No checkback until meal finished , when we told waiter , who made enquiries and said sauce hadn't been reduced fully ?? And took the £1.50 supplement off bill. Pot chicken with fondant potatoes was OK but again fairly tasteless. Potatoes needed lots more seasoning. Desserts were a pleasant pineapple meringue dish, and a cheeseboard I can't relate what the cheeses were as I wasn't told, which at the beginning of the evening I would have found quite shocking but by this stage nothing could surprise us. We are not diners who complain at small things; however at £39 per person for dinner, and £35 for four drinks, everything needs to be right. Dirty cutlery, wrong drinks, bad sauce etc just doesn't cut it. We won't be back."

"I've used this coffee shop and their other outlets in Hartlepool and Billingham for years but have noticed a gradual decline. Called into the Stockton coffee shop today and was shocked to see the state of disrepair it is now in. Is it being run down for closure perhaps? Two large glass windows overlooking the River to the side have been boarded up for weeks and make the interior gloomy. Part of the cavernous restaurant has been closed off for a while and looks dark and dusty. However the main area where they are still serving food concerned me. The walls are stained, the roof manky with dirt tracks running down the walls. The food was edible but uninspiring though the milky coffee is still good. I didn't venture into the toilets having read the previous review! This place needs a thorough spruce up or a close up I'm afraid. Food and selection have diminished and I notice it only has a 3 Star food hygiene (out of 5) from the Council now. Having viewed it today, they were lucky to be awarded that! I remember when this place started out and was clean and had good standards with appetising food and snacks."

"Visited Number 60 in July for lunch, I had heard good things and was looking forward to trying this venue out. The bistro was virtually empty with only myself and one other customer waiting to be served, we had to wait a long time at the bar before ordering, as the single member of staff was heavily engaged working on the coffee machine. Eventually she gave us her full attention, the two options my husband had chosen from the menu were no longer available so like me ordered the 'home made flat bread with cheese and tomato topping '. The homemade coffee smelled wonderful and the cakes and sweet treats looked excellent so I had high hopes for the quality of our meal The staff must have been working on Greek maybe time because we waited for over twenty minutes for our meal. The flatbreads had been microwaved and had all the consistency of a chewed leather boot that had been topped with tomato sauce and cheap cheese. Not good enough, we would never use or recommend this venue again. We would have loved this venue to have been good as Stockton needs some decent food venues but over use of a microwave has really let it down.."

"Incredible venue with an outstanding staff! This has become our new favorite spot. The afternoon tea here is the best we've ever had, and the Rib Room steakhouse in the cellar is truly exceptional. "Great Restaurant, Well Picked staff, very friendly, chatty and great for recommending. Generally a very welcoming atmosphere. If you want somewhere to relax on an afternoon, it's very nice, if you want a party atmosphere, go after That's when it starts to kick in. Always have vouchers and deals on their bills and scratchcards with money off your bill. But hey! Why not? You're saving and enjoying yourself!! Cocktails are gorgeous with a range of margaritas and flavours. The food is amazing, always hot and well timed. Very reasonably priced. Even better on the Lunch menu! Must say, I even had my child have a Piñata party! And they made the children really enjoy themselves, all the staff got involved with singing happy birthday. Defiantly an all round party atmosphere!! Regular visitor now."

"Birthday evening with friends on Sunday, June, I chose chicken with mushroom sauce. Smallest portion of chicken I have ever been served. On ordering I was told new potatoes were available but when meal was served there was only roasties which I declined....I also specifically asked if the vegetables had any butter in them (for health reasons) and was assured that they did not. The vegetables that were served looked as though they had lost most of their colour and tasted as though they had been cooked and kept warm all day, they were also coated in butter. My Son chose a steak which he had difficulty cutting into and even more difficulty chewing and consequently could not eat. He asked a friend that was with us to try it and they also could not chew it. Another member of our party chose the beef dinner, this meat was also so tough he couldn't eat it, the rest of the dinner was tasteless and the yorkshire pudding was like a lump of concrete and he left his whole meal. At the end of the meal the gravy had set like concrete and the gravy boat could be tipped on end with no gravy running out at all. May I add that the waitress throughout was apologetic, proffessional and kept passing our comments onto, the Chef (I asssume), and offered alternatives. However, the evening by this time was ruined (somebody's birthday may I add). The meal was booked in advance, so there can be no excuse for this. Worst meal I have ever had and shall not be returning or recommending."
