"I went with my mum for a dessert and coffee after my mum's doctors appointment but had a bad encounter with the waiter. He was very abrupt and didn't seem at all welcoming. I asked if it was okay to sit at the empty table. He said it was okay. Then when I asked for the menu he just came to get the order. I told him I wanted the dessert menu he wasn't too happy and told me that he thought we were going to eat a meal. Then finally brought over the banana cake and coffee and told us we only had half an hour when our table wasn't reserved. I was very unhappy paying my money for such a service. My mum didn't deserve all this."

"This is a welcoming pub and hotel with a cozy atmosphere. As a Fuller's hotel, it boasts a great selection of well-maintained real ales. With Fuller's acquisition of Dark Star Brewery, you can often find their beers on tap, which is a nice perk. The staff is attentive and friendly.
