"La Caleta was a short walk away from the hotel while on a recent trip to Tarragona and had a wonderful meal there. There are tables on the terrace outside but we were seated inside which was just as good. Granted, it's a little more expensive than the other restaurants in town but it's unhurried and in a nice room , the service is excellent, the food inventive and amazing, everything was awesome. Small amuse bouche once seated with the bread basket which was very nice and then shared a platter of smoked sea bass and salmon which was beautifully presented, fresh and tasty the grilled heritage carrots with burrata was delicious and a great combination. The oxtail stuffed with foie and mushroom was top notch, the meat was melt in the mouth and a great dish , the angus rib cooked at a low temperature was equally excellent and there was plenty of meat, it just fell off the bone, perfecto ! Wine was reasonably priced from €16 which was not too bad, total including water and bread came to €96.70 Service was outstanding, very attentive yet friendly, you did not feel rushed and it was a lovely meal worth the cost."
