"We had seen what they offered for that day when entering the park. Very appealing, so after touring the magnificent gardens with magnolia bloom and more spring splendor, we, of course, asked if they had a table for us on their sunny terrace. First al fresco meal of 2022! Other guests went straight to the terrace, but to enter the restaurant first gives you a glimpse of the great little pastries not to be missed. The menu was a mix of ambitious seasonal cuisine (a wonderful vegetarian mille feuille, e.g. and standard tourist fare like spaghetti bolognese (nobidy tried that while we were there . The waiter and the waitress conversed in whatever language came up. Including puns about the difference between Italian and Portuguese. The only flaw was that they didn 't warn us about the wine we had ordered being sparkly. But hey, it tasted wonderful. So did the espresso, and (see above the tiny pastries ..."
