"I ate here on a Thursday evening, on arrival I received a very warm and friendly greeting. I had booked on line as a solo traveller I wanted to make sure I had somewhere for dinner. Initially I couldn’t find the restaurant on google maps...so phoned them. A very friendly young lady explained how I could get to the restaurant in English, a bonus as my French is very limited. It’s a characterful place with rustic charm. I was shown to my table at the back of the restaurant, perfect to watch the comings and goings of guests and soak up the ambience without feeling like I was alone. A kir Royale, about €6 to start with a carafe of excellent house rose , about €10. My starter main and desert options were expertly explained to me in English by the young lady who had directed me to the restaurant. For starter I had goats cheese Provençal , served in a ceramic dish the goats cheese sits on the Provençal sauce , with salad and French bread. Simple but absolutely delicious. Then a steak with fries and salad, cooked to my liking and served with a delicious sauce. To end I had cheese and more French bread. Total cost was around €48, so taking off the drinks around €32, not bad for a restaurant in central Versailles which had a number of walk ins as well as bookings, I feel very lucky to have enjoyed the hospitality offered to me. "ideally placed in the historical heart of worms, and at the foot of the castle, the site is perfect (attention, parking spaces available are not nearby). the restaurant is a little disappointed, old as these Parisian breweries of another age ...( of another age also, the toilets!! to completely review the owners: think of the customers and not only for the quality of the meat!) said, the service is limited tonight or the restaurant is complete. too slow, too long, with many mistakes ( cooking meat, accompaniment, waiting for the drink etc...it does a lot). The dishes: my table neighbor was delighted with his kidneys, the other guests /- reviews according to their plates. About me, a beef fillet pepper sauce that I wanted to point, repeated twice with the mention rather cooked....and it didn't miss, my meat came seized on it, and saw the stabbing thickness on 3cm! This is where my problem with this restaurant comes from; they don't know or want to let the meat cook according to the customer's request, but they seem stubborn when their way of thinking: too cooked meat is necessarily badly cooked and bad! I'm a customer, I want a good meat to the point... and so they don't know or want to do it. It's the second time I come, and given this dilemma, not to come back for a while. For me, a quality meat and here is the case, can be very good served to the point, visibly, it is not their opinion. Finally, if the price of the dishes is in order with the quality at the rdv, the desserts are not exceptional and rather expensive ( 8 euros a chocolate mousse!) make you a review . quality meat lovers, you will not be disappointed if you enjoy the blue cooking and bleeding . for others, attention, here you do not listen.For the price-quality ratio, count with medium number of euros"
