"We decided to try this unknown for us restaurant in Vienna, after I noticed was a banner commemorating the 100 years in operation. It looked quite different to what we are used to in Canada, the place looked like it had been decorated and seen its best times years ago, several solo customers were seating in their tables reading newspapers quietly while having lunch. It did not looked fancy or trendy, but we were tired and hungry so we decided to stay.We ordered a herring salad, goulash and and some kind of vegetable strudel.....they were all sublime! Then we ordered the different cakes as dessert, we had two first but they were so good we had to try and share a third one.I am sure that everything in the menu must be nothing short of exceptional, if this place was back home it would no doubt be my favourite. What else can I say to recommend it?Like I said, not trendy, elegant or crowded, just delicious food in a quiet and extremely peaceful ambiance......just the real thing."
