"L’Amira used to be my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood, and I’ve recommended it to a lot of people. Unfortunately, the quality has now deteriorated significantly and the prices have risen just as significantly. I visited L'Amira today and was looking forward to a chicken casserole with almonds, raisins and dates as described on the menu. Unfortunately the dish served did not match this description. Instead of the ingredients mentioned, the casserole contained cashew nuts and exactly a single piece of a date (see photo). Almonds and raisins, which were supposed to be essential components of the dish, were completely missing. Such deviations from the menu are disappointing. The impression that cheaper ingredients such as cashews were used detracts from the otherwise high quality that I have come to expect from Syrian restaurants. I was also surprised at the price development in this restaurant. Main courses now cost around 20 euros. The service was also disappointing. There were a lot of waiters running around, but they weren't very careful and seemed pretty chaotic. The number of lamps on the ceiling is impressive. This looks really nice. But as a guest, I would rather not skimp on the ingredients."
