"Ikigai Loosely translated, “That which is worth living for” or “The feeling of having something that is worth getting up for in the morning”. When you visit the Ikigai in Backnang you literally have something all day long that is worth getting up for in the morning. My many and varied visits have always led back to the same result. First class service combined with quality food from sushi to ramen to simple appetizers or desserts; Here the overall package is unique. I have never had such a positive experience in an Asian/sushi restaurant as I did here. Added to this is the extremely beautifully designed ambience with different facets that you can explore depending on where you sit. The price is great, and we don't even need to get started on the overwhelming friendliness of the employees towards each other and towards the customers. My last visit was on my birthday and it was the best end to the day I could imagine. A birthday sushi platter with extras and candles, prosecco from the house to celebrate and great creativity from the sushi chef with the so called “Omakase” menu. In this restaurant everything is right from start to finish, which is why it is well deserved and how could it be otherwise: 5 stars Attached are a few more pictures from my visits."
