"Very comfortable restaurant, and the front-of-house staff very welcoming and charming. The food itself was somewhat disappointing. I tried the vegetarian tasting menu for dinner. The starters were innovative, and done with precision. The main courses were not worthy of the prices. The lentils were very watery; the butter-paneer was overly sweetened (and the paneer had a very industrial texture; didn't feel like made from scratch in the kitchen; not what I would expect from a restaurant and chef of this standing), and overall, the dishes felt a bit under-seasoned and flavorless. The naan and rice accompanying the main-course were very good. The salty lassi was way too dense -- it was difficult to drink. It seemed like the wrong kind of yogurt had been used to make the lassi.Overall, I felt that for the prices, they could have come up with a more ambitious menu. And since it is called "Indian Food Festival", they could have tried to stick to more 'authentic' levels of spicing instead of catering to Swiss palettes -- let people discover what Indian food really is like!"
