A La Ferme - Speisekarte

We had a lovely family lunch there. Proper French food, with good quality products, served in a timely manner and a large smile. Food was in good quantity, felt fresh and homemade.

We stopped by - not sure about the restaurant other than what we read on Trip Advisor... the restaurant is essentially run by four people. They do an amazing job. The food and service were wonderful, we loved the kindness of those who run it and we thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant - so nice‼️ thank you‼️

It was so wonderful to find this quaint little restaurant that isn't filled with tourists. Although we were tourists ourselves, we were with our son who speaks French so that made ordering easy. The fillet de bar was the most excellent main dish!! We also tried the onglet boeuf and the boeuf Roquefort. Both were good. We came late on a Wednesday evening and had no problem being seated. We had a really special meal here on our first night in Versailles - friendly welcome, good atmosphere and varied menu. Chefs recommendations on the blackboard. I had goats cheese and walnut starter and my husband had St Jacques both were very tasty. Followed by a steak each - one Onglet and one entrecôte. Well cooked and with great handcut chips. Desserts couldn't be resisted. An excellent meal surrounded by French voices. We will return.

We had dinner here on our 2nd night in Versailles and this was again a Trip Advisor recommendation. We took advantage of their table d'hote 3 course dinner and had quite a choice to make. This is quite a small restaurant and could be described as intimate and there is a farming theme to the decor.The food was very good - I had a prawn starter and my wife had the pate, I had a very large steak and my wife had pork and we finished with apple tart. Very good value, tasty food, large portions and the service was just right - not slow but also not too speedy!

Lovely little restaurant, friendly service, very quick. We booked online for the same evening and it's just as well we did as it soon filled up with locals as well as a few tourists like us. We had the scallops and crab cakes to start (both excellent), then a steak and the fish of the day (also good), followed by creme brûlée (ok) and the warm chocolate cake with creme anglaise (to die for). They also serve wine by the pichet so you don't have to spend a fortune on a bottle. All in all a great little spot, just across the road from the much busier and glossier places. I saw this resturant on TripAdvisor and thought the room looked really small for our party of 8. But, they quickly gathered up tables and we sat very comfortably.The staff was delightful and was very patient with us as we had just came from seeing the Chateau and we were super tired and hungry.We travel with our four small children and four adults. Kiddos had this beautiful small steak with very delicious tasting frites that came with ice cream. I have two picky eaters and they ate it up within the first 10 minutes. I didn't hear a peep from them!!! I tried a bite of their frites and it was sweet but not too sweet, VERY DELICIOUS! EVERY DISH WAS MADE TO PERFECTION! Well worth the try.

We were lucky to find this amazing place and early enough to reserve a table for later the same Saturday evening. They had fixed price menus @ €27.50 and service was swift and professional.I had an amazing starter of queen scallops in their shells grilled with chorizo and breadcrumbs followed by a breast of duck honey-roasted with dauphanoise potatoes and concluded with an apple tart, My partner enjoyed his toasted goat's cheese salad followed by beef entrecote and creme brulee. We had a pitcher or two of very reasonably priced yet decent quality, rosé and red wine , carafe d'eau and coffees and felt well fed and decadent despite the reasonable bill.We will obviously seek this place out agai...

What dissapointed us most was the lack of interest of the staff. Upon arrival, there was hardly a smile, we were pointed to our table and not much exchange of conversation. The menu was good, however for me the 2nd dissapointement as that the foie gras and the cheese were served straight out of the fridge, so tasteless. According to the waitress they are not allowed to take it out of the fridge too long in advance because of heath risks, this is strange since i have never been served before anywhere foie gras and cheese as cold as that !
