Avoid! I’ve been looking forward to trying the fish and chips here l since go down A68 frequently. Stopped last Friday, but fish wasn’t fresh, it was over cooked and tasted odd, chips were dry and old. No one in on a Friday night should have given me the clue, and it was produced too quickly! The fish and chips were absolutely delicious! After a long stretch of hiking the Pennine Way, our feet were sore. A kind lady helped us carry our food to the car, which was truly above and beyond service. We ordered takeout for dinner and everything was top-notch. The food, service, and atmosphere all scored a perfect 5. Highly recommend trying the fish and chips!

I stopped by Jed's restaurant looking for some food and I was impressed with their huge menu. My family of four ordered three different dishes and we were all satisfied with the quality and quantity of the food. The chips were crispy, the scampi was delicious, and the pies had plenty of real meat in them. The battered sausage was a hit with my 10-year-old, who declared it the best he's ever had. The portions were generous and the service was excellent. We will definitely be returning to Jed's again! Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect 5 out of 5.

Visited and was quick to be served. Small wait for food as it was being prepared fresh. Chips were not all greasy and the batter was nice and crispy. One of the nicer takeaways I’ve been to in a while. Visited again another day and ordered a pizza. I’ve never had a pizza so hot and retaining it’s heat for so long. There are two benches outside should you want to sit and eat food there. Parking: Parking spaces outside and there are also spaces in the carpark at the tourist information area 30second walk away.
