location: this hotel is located in the heart of fitzrovia. my favorite part is that it is only a few steps away from warren st station, so it is extremely convenient.

The food quality was poor, the service was mediocre at best, and the prices were too high. My steak was tough, the lobster was unremarkable, and the beef tacos were bland. The service was slow and inattentive, despite there being only one other table of diners. The only good part of the meal was the wine and chips, but even they were nothing special. We were a group of 8 and were probably the loudest table in the restaurant. The service was good and all of our food orders were correct. I started with the croquettes, which were okay, and then had the steak and lobster. The steak was cooked perfectly, but the lobster was a bit on the small side so there wasn't much meat to enjoy. The wine we had was delicious. We didn't have dessert, so I can't comment on that.

I have booked this restaurant several months ago for after dinner theatre in Tottenham Court Road. I was rather disappointed with the service from the staff who had difficulty understanding what I was saying. I’m not sure whether they have limited understanding me as I am soft spoken or just not bothered about making their customers feel comfortable. Just an awful all round experience. They decided to lock the front door to the restaurant in the middle of service for a staff meeting despite there being guests inside and us standing outside trying to call to get in(! . The front of house were pleasant but utterly clueless not knowing about allergies at all, not aware of our booking, how food is prepared. The food was totally bland and for some reason the chef decided to scoop out all the body and head meat from our lobster. We paid for a full lobster but didn’t get it!
