Lovely place outside of Tarmina. Very nice staff and atmosphere. Nice view also from the terrace. The food was delicious. I ate first time swordfish and it was amazing.

Wonderful little restaurant with really special views. We booked a table but couldn’t help feeling a little like the service and table we got (it wasn’t busy at all during our visit as ate early) was ‘tourist standard’. What a shame as food was great.

we had the desire of a pizza after several days without... then we opted for this pizzeria restaurant overlooking Taormina.. .What to say, a great choice for both breathtaking views and quality of pizzas.. .I'm sure that even first and second will be very good. impeccable service, all very polite and available! Al Saraceno is a good restaurant. The terrace affords beautiful views of Taormina, is very airy and comfortable. You don't feel squashed in. The food is good with some dishes being outstanding. Small portions but I think this has become the way of Sicily, especially Taormina. Value for money just borders on okay, again, symptomatic of this part of the island. Service is friendly and efficient and they do their best to look after you. Recommended if you make the journey up the top. They do take away pizza so if you can't get a reservation you can always find a stone wall, open your pizza and admire the view.

There are many restaurants in Taormina, but most are close to the “village” or main shopping area. Aside from the very good one at our hotel Villa Ducale we also had an excellent choice 3 blocks up a nearby hill…Al Saracena. Here are some of the pros and cons: Pros: The food was excellent so we went twice. I had Pasta with Mixed Seafood while my wife had a local fish with olives in a light tomato sauce. Desserts were very tasty. Service was very friendly and helpful from the same waiter on an outdoor patio. He was knowledgeable and had great advice on wine. The restaurant occupies a fairly large 2 story building with extensive outside dining. Views from the 2nd floor whether inside or outsid... Speisekarte ansehen
