A man was both racist and homophobic to me, and the bar/security staff made sure I was okay and swiftly kicked them out. I felt very safe here. Also cheap drinks xoxo

Hi let every non smoker They let break the law and let people Vape in the night club its unacceptable as its against the law and when reported To security they say its ok Its allows when its not if they read the law asked to leave becaue u know the law totally unacceptable.

Wouldn’t reccomend firewater at all. They can’t even meet basic legal requirements. Really disappointed about the disrespect myself and friend faced when out having a good night. The bouncers and staff are so rude, obnoxious and in a massive power trip. It’s unbelievable that a business speaks to their customers this way. They have a reputation for being the worst bouncers in Glasgow and it’s easy to see why. I will never be giving them my money again and can’t see the place lasting long at this rate.

I have been a regular at Firewater for years, and it is one of the few clubs in Glasgow that I enjoy visiting. It caters to a wide range of people, from student nights to quizzes, live band and DJ sets, or simply going for dinner. The food is excellent, and in my experience, the staff and bouncers have always been friendly and helpful.

Bar is okay nothing special and dance floor is small and crowded. Bouncers on door are on a complete power trip and completely unprofessional. I observed them ejecting people for what appeared like no apparent reason thereafter laughing and giggling with each other like children. I waited at the bar for about 15 minutes before being served. In my boredom, I rested my hands on the bar table. The bar staff approached me and asked if I was okay. I explained that I was just bored from waiting. The staff then reported me to the bouncer, Seb I believe his name was. The bouncer proceeded to kick me out for supposedly being too drunk, even though I was sober. I tried to reason with the bouncer outside, insisting that I was not drunk, but he claimed he couldn't do anything since the bar staff had reported me. He was rude and condescending throughout our conversation. This was the worst experience and I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Every time we visit Glasgow from Edinburgh, we always make sure to stop by Firewater and recommend it to our friends. However, during our most recent visit on a Thursday, we arrived at 4:50 PM only to be told by one bouncer to come back in 10 minutes before we could enter. When we returned at 8:00 PM, a different bouncer informed us that we couldn't enter because it was a "student night." Despite being a regular attendee for gigs in the area, I have been allowed entry on Thursdays before. No problems getting in with the door staff and the bar staff were fine but the bouncers inside act as if they're patrolling the North Korean border. Had just been up dancing for a hour and sat down with my friends to drink and take a breather and closed my eyes for a minute and the bouncer across the dancefloor eagle-eyed me and sprinted over and told me to get up and get out cause I was too drunk, considering the state of some of the folk in there seemed to be a bit singling out, cooperated fully with the bouncers but was treated like I had been fighting people.
