Applebee's Fish - Speisekarte

Met a couple of friends for lunch and a catch up. As expected busy but this was during the season. Food was pretty good. We ordered scallops, monkfish and another fish dish which were all quite good. They did have a very good selection of wine as well.

Ordered 3 Madagascan prawns at £10 each and couldn't even taste butter and garlic. it just made our mouths stink really badly. A glass of their Cote rose tasted like blossom hill to top it off. it was super mediocre I should have just bought the prawns from literally 10 meters away. I can hands down say il never eat Applebee's again in my entire life.

On a rainy afternoon I came for a bite to eat and was not disappointed. I reserved online which I would strongly recommend. Despite it being incredibly busy, I was seated at the bar whilst they cleaned my table. They also called me by name which was a lovely personal touch. Delicious fish and chips that was pipping hot! So easy to find, being right next to London Bridge station, we thoroughly enjoyed everything about our visit. Friendly attentive staff, ice cold white wine on a sweltering day, and then the food… Wow! Everything we had was superb, particularly the sea bream we both enjoyed as a main course, decent sized whole fish, cooked to perfection. We will most definitely be returning

We had the luxury seafood platter for 2 people, which was delicious, but only one portion of chips, and no salad or vegetables, which made the meal overwhelming seafood. We felt with the most expensive dish on the menu, £125), there could have been at least two portions of chips and a salad. When we mentioned it to the waitress, se only said: “sorry, it only comes with one portion of chips”

I had the standard fish and chips and the fish was definitely not fresh. It was dry and had a faint whiff of ammonia. The batter was undercooked and stodgy too. What’s most annoying is that three emails to the company have gone unanswered, despite me making it clear I’m not asking for any recompense other than an explanation as to why a business that prides itself on selling fresh fish can serve up something so bad. We love Applebee’s, it is one of our favourite fish restaurants and we go at least twice a year on special occasions. The fish is fresh and excellent quality, we have always enjoyed the food very much, although the starters are large so take caution! The service is friendly and efficient, the menu is varied and changes regularly. We like to sit at the bar or counter seating and the atmosphere is usually buzzy. Thank you Applebee, see you in 2024!

A lovely restaurant inside Borough Market. We chose to sit inside as the market was very busy and noisy, but you could sit outdoors and people watch. My husband had Dressed Crab for starters, and I had cod cheeks, both were delicious and generous portions. We then shared the Luxury seafood platter, which was delicious and worth the £125 price with scallops, King prawns, 2 whole lobsters. Served with samphire and chips. We ordered bread and butter to mop up the delicious sauce. So stuffed afterwards, we couldn't eat any dinner! I was a walk up customer for dinner as I didn't make a reservation. Staff offered to seat me outdoors, which was fine as I enjoy people watching. I ordered a bread course, the cod cheeks starter, and salmon fillet for the main course. To drink, I had the the Simpsons Canterbury brut rose sparkling wine. It was a very good English sparkling wine for 12.50 pounds/$15 a glass. The bread course was huge and worth the charge. The cod cheeks were substantial and could have been a main course. There was, however, too much sauce. As a result, it was more like a plate of sauce with cod cheeks added for flavor. The salmon fillet was excellent. Perfectly cooked.
