"The setting is picturesque, but unfortunately, the owners are rude and arrogant. We walked through the pay-and-display car park, and while the owner was busy clearing the main drains, he completely ignored our greeting of "Good Afternoon." There were goats fenced in to keep them away from the river. However, we decided to cut through the picnic tables to take a look at the river and dip our toes in. To our dismay, a woman in the café window shot us a fierce glare with her hands on her hips. I returned her glare, and she angrily stomped away. On our way back, I tried saying "Good Afternoon" again, but all I received was a huff from the owner. At that point, we decided to leave and enjoy a delicious cream tea in Widecombe instead. It’s a real shame that this once charming tea room has lost its warmth and character. So, if you’re looking for a delightful experience from the past, think again!"

One of the best scones I've ever had with plenty of jam and cream. Staff were a little hap hazard but everything arrived in the end.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The coffee and food were both excellent, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. I dined in for lunch, and with prices ranging from £10 to £20 per person, it was quite reasonable. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 5 stars! Speisekarte ansehen

I had my dream wedding at my dream venue. The staff were impeccable, the venue was stunning, and the area was tranquil. Overall, it was a dream come true. I absolutely love the venue and the staff. Emma, in particular, will always hold a special place in my heart; she is a genuinely kind and selfless person.

We drove up yesterday only to find that it’s closed down.It’s such a shame when independent quality places disappear.This has always been a great place for a cream tea, I’ve been going since I was a child and it’s been my ‘go to’.Looks like we’ll have to taste test some new places to find a new regular place to have our fix….not the worst way to spend time
