The only entree option available was a chickpea fritter on rice with sauce (falafels), which was okay but quite basic. At £12, it felt overpriced for what it was. The chips were also vegan-friendly, but I'm not sure about the other sides. Overall, I wouldn't return for the food, but I appreciated that they had a vegan option available.

We walked from Seahouses along the beach and were quite hungry so stopped here for lunch but unfortunately, even though hungry, there was nothing appealing on the menu from a vegan perspective. Apart from a token vegan curry, (too big for lunch and unimaginative), there wasn’t anything that looked remotely edible so we left and, fortunately, found an alternative place with a better menu nearby.

We have been here many times pre pandemic went today SO disappointed!! Prices have shot up, we had the roast of the day sandwich chips for a small ciabata with what looked like thin sliced beef out of a packet, not...very much meat a very small bowl of chips costing which had a fishy taste. Been here on a number of occasions in the past and have always loved this pub. Went today the first time since the pandemic. I nearly had a heart attack when I seen the prices. for steak pie and mash. for a burger....The food was ok, nowhere near as good as it used to be and the prices are ridiculous now. We only stayed because we enjoyed it in the past. Won’t be going back at these prices. We saw a few people sit down. Check the menu then swiftly leave. Great views. Service was fine. Way way way too expensive!!!!!

As far as I can see, they now have three vegan dishes on the menu: a sweet potato curry, a burger and a pasta dish with dried tomatoes and vegetables. I had the curry which was tasty, the size was good. They also have a pavlova on the dessert menu whuixh is labelled as vegan, but I rather think this is a misprint. I wasn't hungry enough, otherwise I woulld have checked. If possible, sit outside and enjoy the seaview. Unless you are a house guest or a group of 6 or more peoplem they don't take reservations. It's not particularly special, but o.k.

It looks lovely from outside. I had fish and chips which was ok, but my husband and daughter had pie and mash which was awful. The mash definitely wasn't mashed it was just a solid lump with hard bits in which were inedible and the...pie well just a mushy pie well overcooked but soggy at the bottom! The gravy had to be spooned out as it was just hard jelly we did mention it to the waiter but he just took the plates and smiled. We ended up going to the chippy on the way back. On the plus side it came out within a few minutes of ordering. So a very expensive meal for very poor food. A shame as we were looking to have breakfast here every day while we stayed. I recently enjoyed a delicious beetroot and quinoa burger at this restaurant. Even though it is labeled as a 'veggie burger', it is actually vegan. Just make sure to inform the staff about your dietary preferences, as it is typically served in a brioche bun which can be replaced with a different option. I also tried a sweet potato and cashew nut tart, which was confirmed to be vegan. They offer a brownie and vegan ice cream for dessert. Initially, I was skeptical about finding vegan options on the menu, but the staff was very accommodating once I asked. We ended up in the Bamburgh Castle Inn on the October. arrived at At first all seemed OK and it was relatively quiet. We ordered our food and were a bit surprised at the cost but expected something special. We asked for the...table to be wiped as it was very sticky. Apparently this is because of the varnish used? I received my meal which was a steak pie, mash and green veg. The pie was like concrete, the meat inside was dry as bone and couldn't be sorted even with the gravy which was congealed in the gravy bowl. Chowder tasted like it had come out of a tin; hardly any meat and veggies but lots of liquid which was just about tepid. Artisan bread was just dry if not a little stale. Chips were soggy. Mussels were quite good but the sauce was...pretty much tasteless without a hint of garlic or white wine. Three bits of very scrappy and gristly belly pork was one of our party's starter. Speaking of which there was no wine list available and the barmaid asking what I wanted and she would tell me if they had it; the time taken to suggest a wine could've been quite considerable.
