Banny's British Kitchen

Fish, chips, curry sauce and mushy peas were superb. First time visiting, very quick service, lovely staff and amazing food. Certainly will be back.

Fish and chips were lovely, but no brown sauce ! Why? My husband always has brown sauce on his fish and chips so he was very disappointed. Just wondered why ?

Food and service good BUT spotted slug trails by the kitchen door. Spoke to the manager who seemed indifferent to it...hopefully these slugs were not inside the kitchen as well...needs to be addressed urgently. Speisekarte ansehen

Ordered fish and chips, £8:45 and the fish was long and thin, more batter on it than fish, chips were scrappy, ordered children’s fish and chips £4 plus, 2 tiny scraps of fish, again more batter than fish, also very greasy, can get mini fish...

Banny’s has gone downhill this year. The fish and chips were tasteless (oh, but the fish batter tasted of ONION! . The chips were poor quality with many black bits, and the food was cold. We have given up to Banny’s. It used to be good, but not now.

Takeaway today. Cheese and onion pie was a large slice of fresh, tasty pie. Chips crispy outside soft inside. Peas very nice. I am lactose intolerant and having discussed this with the staff Louise and Samar. Chef Alex was happy for freshly steam a fresh haddock for me. Result! Delicious too. We popped to bannys to get some lunch , but as we're on a tight schedule today we decided to try the take away , and boy was that a mistake, I believe the chips had started of as potatoes but that was probably several days ago as these had been reheated and reheated many times, they where hard tasteless and it was a terrible experience

Group of 6 including 2 children. Well looked after by serving staff on table 39 Sunday 17 March for lunch. Friendly and easy going. The must have by nearly all of us Indian Style Fish Chips. Rated as very tasty and decent portions. But the secret on the menu for dessert Deep Fried Mars bar (other makes can be used! . On a skewer with ice cream and caramel sauce. OMG fantastic. Has to be asked for as it’s not a published item. A must!

We stopped here passing through for a meal. The entrance is lovely and we were greeted and sat down promptly. After a wait our order was taken and food arrived in good time but must say that the fish was totally tasteless and very oily, the mushy peas not so mushy, still formed pea shapes and tasteless. No brown sauce and £1.50 for 2 slices of bread. We finished our meals and sat waiting for the table to be cleared! Staff kept walking past setting up empty tables and sweeping the floor and nobody was actually coming to see if we needed anything else, even though there were only a couple of other tables in do not busy.
