"I have always enjoyed dining at this pub, but my recent visit on a Sunday proved to be a game-changer. After being disappointed by several other local establishments that had already closed their kitchens, my friends and I found ourselves at the Basketmakers. To our delight, the kitchen was still open and serving delicious roasts. We eagerly sat down with our dog Molly, who was also welcomed, and were impressed by the attentive staff and the generous portions of food. The roast was accompanied by a flavorful gravy that was perfect for dipping, and the potatoes and Yorkshire puddings were outstanding. The friendly banter from the bar staff only added to the enjoyable experience. If you are in Brighton and craving a pub roast, look no further than the Basketmakers for a fantastic meal. Highly recommend!"

Had the West End Mussels Special with fries in a pancetta and cider sauce. Absolutely amazing. This is the place for great food when in Brighton!

I used to drink here in the 70's and I played for their bar billiards team in the Sussex League. It always was a great pub and I look forward to visiting it again when I am in Brighton this summer.

was not at the basketmakers for years and was great to go back. had delicious lammage roast and flower cheese! I was through halfway, but on soldiers about how good it was. I am not a huge fan of crispy veg, but that was just preferred and was still great. the staff was also super sweet and friendly, can not expect to come back!
