This restaurant was an unexpected delight! We decided to dine out at the last minute, and since our usual favorite spot was completely booked, we did a quick search and stumbled upon this gem. The restaurant features a functioning water mill in the interior, which adds a lovely atmosphere. We were seated quickly and received exceptional service from start to finish. Our server was friendly, attentive, and full of smiles, which truly enhanced our experience. The food was excellent; we had a burger and a steak, both accompanied by a great selection of sides. For dessert, we enjoyed a delicious apple crumble with custard, which was a generous portion. We will definitely return and bring friends...

I felt the service was quite poor; we were left waiting for quite some time to be seated and when I approached the manager his attitude wasn't very good. Once we were seated and given menus it was a 20 minute wait to place our order, I did consider just paying for our drinks and leaving at this point. When our food did arrive the pie was very good but the triple cooked chips were disappointing, I'd guess they weren't triple cooked properly. There was also a sauce missing from the other dish we ordered. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful.
