I had a lovely birthday meal that didn't break the bank. The service was great, so I would rate it a 4, and the location also deserves a 4.

Stayed for one night when visiting nearby. My room was on the top floor and one of the best designed I've stayed in. Full length mirror, excellent bed, lovely towels, large bathroom and, best of all, a desk with a chair, mirror and hair dryer. What a treat to be able to sit down and dry my hair or put my make up on! Two young women running reception as well as the bistro, who worked really hard all evening. Car park (round the corner) was a bit tricky to get out of the next morning as cars were left all over the place. Apart from that, highly recommended.

I literally have no words. Supposed to be getting married here next May so we decided to pop in for some dinner to suss the place out and let’s just say both the meals were completely inedible. I have never complained anywhere in my entire life due to suffering with extreme anxiety but I had no choice today as we hardly touched our food. The lady I complained to was lovely and took it really well. But we stayed to finish our drinks and were made to feel intimidated by the chef who came out and stared us down before returning to the kitchen and the small waitress who was slamming glasses, huffing and puffing and throwing table cloths around like there’s no tomorrow. I am honestly distraught!!...
