"I've lived in Acton for a year now and had never wandered into the Bridge cafe until this morning. It's a 10 min walk from West Acton and North Acton station, and only a short walk from where I live. I knew of the cafe from The Apprentice and had often wished it was open on the weekends when I was absolutely hanging and needed a fry up. So when I woke up this morning with a craving for beans on toast and bacon, I thought I'd give it a go. It's a modest space, no where to plug in a laptop, no where to charge up your phone, no fancy coffees and not even a bathroom for the public (the only downside perhaps). I think that's part of it's magic though. You come in, have your breakfast/lunch, enjoy the peace and quiet and then stroll off. The place was quite busy at 10 am, a haunt for local builders from the near by trading estate. The menu is simple, prices are fair and the service is great. I was particularly happy with the tea, proper builder's tea. And the breakfast was served quickly and hit the spot. The owner was friendly and we were able to have a chat, not something that often happens in busy chains. Before I left I was told I was welcome back any time. I'll definitely be back."

Nothing good, except the fact that we went in for the apprentice association. The place serves typical builders food and drinks

This was one of our favourite cafes but we waited quite a while to be served even though there was not many customers. I went to the ladies loo and the sink was awful. The whole place needed a good clean.

This cafe is a hidden gem, a fantastic Community Cafe operated by volunteers. They offer fresh brewed coffee, tea, delicious sandwiches, toasties and amazing cakes. The prices are very reasonable and you can always count on a friendly welcome.

Although prices good. Some staff not very friendly nor helpful. Owner is not very helpful and not customer accommodating.. there is no where else to go nearby so you are a bit limited when you just want some lunch. Avoid if you can, not worth the poor service and unpleasant owner.

I was really impressed with the Bridge Cafe. The food is all freshly made with a variety of options on the menu and the portions are huge. I ordered the sandwich meal deal, which came with crisps and a hot drink for £3.49, and it was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful in suggesting options. I highly recommend this place over the Costa across the street.

We've visited a few times now and a trip to London is not complete for us without a trip here. We always walk from West Acton tube station on the Central Line and it's a good 10 minute walk but worth the effort. The food's good, honest home cooked grub nothing flash, just decent but the owners are great. They're so friendly and happy to talk about The Apprentice and are both people persons.

I have been using this café for several years on an on off basis. Even after a long break they can still remember my order 2 eggs bacon fried toms hash browns 1 slice b/b and a coffee). It's a huge plateful of freshly cooked food. Staff are always pleasant. Café is clean. Parking can be a problem but there is a pay and display car park just round the corner or street parking after 0930 I think the time is right but best check the signs).

We were visiting from Scotland and stopped in for hot breakfast rolls and tea. The food was freshly prepared to order and really delicious thanks Aaron) Frank made us feel really welcome and took time to sit with us and chat . We had a good laugh and thoroughly enjoyed this good old fashioned hospitality . It’s a great place and we’ll definitely be back later in the year on our next trip to London . PS Our son loved the Bridge Cafe mug souvenir. Wish I’d bought two !!! See you in August guys

At the end of the day, this café may not look like much, but it is the perfect place for when you're feeling a little emotional. I've been coming here a lot lately, especially during some tough times. For just 90p a cup and a quarter pounder that caught my eye, this place definitely deserves a shout out. It's probably the cheapest coffee in town. The place is nice and the pies look a bit old, but I have some good memories here despite everything. My last few visits weren't by choice, but I will definitely be back on my own time. The tea is top-notch and the staff always welcome me and my guests, no matter our mood. Less daydreaming, more tea-drinking, if you catch my drift. - Dean

"If you live in or visit Hanwell you must take a lazy walk down by the locks and build up an appetite before heading to the W7 Emporium. It’s a little white door by a crappy old man pub sat next to a small florist. Open the door and the atmosphere is straight away comfortable, your away from the street and simply relaxed and at home. The staff are friendly and offer as much banter as you want to be involved with so this is nice and a change from the branded offerings. The furniture is mix and match and the space light and airy so it fits well with Hanwells vibe and there is an outdoor space for the summer. The menu I would describe as funky modern Mediterranean, and there are no sausages which for me can be an issue. But if I’m being 100% honest I couldn’t care less here, the options here are well thought and imaginative. If you want a fry up there are other places in Hanwell to get one but if you want a Mexican there is only one place and that’s here. Ok I’ve given away my ultimate fave thing on the menu it’s what I have and it’s spot on. Poached eggs, nice bread, salad, crispy bacon, avocado and spicy sauce all out together and presented beautifully. So here we go it’s hands down the best place in Hanwell and if you want wine with brunch that’s fine because they serve that too. Have a couple then walk back to the canal and enjoy the afternoon whatever the season it’s a regular weekend jaunt and a compromise between a fry up for me and something healthy for the wife. In the eternal battle of good verses evil the Emporium emerges victorious every time."
