"We made a last-minute decision to have an early dinner on Saturday with our young child. The staff were very attentive, and our child enjoyed a good portion of grilled fish, which was a lovely alternative to the usual fried options! The fries were a bit on the salty side for a child, but they were tasty. We started with burrata and heirloom tomatoes, followed by a burger and mushroom gnocchi, all of which were generous portions made with delicious local ingredients. The atmosphere was lovely, and we hope to return for a roast next time!"

Charming little street corner pub! Came here with a group of friends for Sunday lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. Friendly staff and great service. Coming back for Christmas (2022) which I am sure we will enjoy.

Wonderful family running this quaint cafe! The chicken burger is amazing and they recommended beers to go with it as well! I would definitely recommend it to everyone going to Brighton. It is just a short walk away from the beach.

Excellent gastropub- hidden gem. Wonderful well prepared local produce in some of the best food you've ever tasted in a pub. The beef ragu was amazing. Good range of drinks also leaning on local suppliers. Well worth searching out. The place to eat in kemptown bar none.

we booked on Sunday evening dinner and can honestly say that eating was divine, the service attentive and helpful and the environment comfortable and cozy. they had a good choice of drinks, including soft drinks and non-alcoholic drinks. I would definitely recommend a visit.

The vegetable stir-fry was beautifully prepared and accompanied by a variety of enticing sides, all bursting with flavor and presented attractively. They also offered an excellent selection of beers. The staff was friendly, and the overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making for a relaxed dining experience.

We went there on May 2022 and such a lovely place and staff, amazing food and great vegan options. Our Airbnb host suggested this place and no regrets going there. My partner ordered steak and I ordered vegan gnocchi, and it was the best one I had. The old fashioned was superb. We were so happy with the food and service that we booked for Sunday roast (traditional and vegan and again, great food and no regrets! Highly recommend it! :

Good choice of burgers on the menu this evening we ordered the standard beef and the fish goujon. Never dabbled in the latter but, tartar sauce, chilli jam and dill pickles what's not to love? Nothing here is rushed the vibe is casual with very friendly staff and the bar is nicely stocked with a neat selection of Belgian beers, IPA's and cocktails. The food comes out served to perfection and chef strikes a flavour balance that is just right. Coming back for roast soon.

...The pub slowly got buzzier with more groups accompanied by dogs and young children, and the low sun, which must have just cleared a building, was now streaming through the windows in serene diagonal rays. What I first thought was a bit of a sterile space, actually creates an enigmatic blank canvas and a fresh, airy and decluttered space to enjoy wonderful food.
