Siamo stati veramente bene. A pochi km da Berceto, mangiato benissimo, personale gentile, hanno accettato la nostra cagnolina senza problemi, prezzo più che giusto.

I went twice in a month: the place looks good, some km outside Berceto, in a small fraction very pleasant to visit; in August then it is ideal to escape the unbearable heat of the city. The room is rustic, you can also sit outside, under the porch. The possibilities are two: or go straight with grilled chianine, that the owner will make you first see, telling you how much they weigh, alternatively there are tasty appetizers and a couple of first, in addition to contours and sweets. The conduction is familiar, so don't complain if you won't find the perfect service (in particular I suggest you open the wine bottles in front of the customers), small wine card with some interesting proposal, ho...

We decided to take the secondary road, rather than the motorway from Parma down to la Spezia. Beautiful winding drive through wonderful wooded mountains with beautiful scenery and pretty small villages. The drive alone was worth it but the lunchtime stop at Trattoria Ca dal Brass made it an utterly magical day. Nestled near the top of the range, the ambience, fine food, great wine and excellent, friendly service of this excellent place combined to present something that simply can’t be artificially created.
