Cafe Joly - Speisekarte

Still here, just lovely ...... steak comes rarer than used to at home, so if you don't like blood ...... but delicious.

Went here a while ago and had a decent meal, not too bad prices. The atmosphere of the place was very cosy and the service was good.

We went here by chance as we were walking past it and liked the menu and we are so glad we did. Lovely restaurant, attentive staff and delicious burgers. Speisekarte ansehen

I had the lunch special. The skirt steak was quite tough but flavourful and the price was right. My son had the beef bourguignon. He thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a good quick lunch option.

The dessert Profiteroles with chocolate syrup were the absolute best that I have ever had anywhere. This restaurant can be very busy at times, so that is why we ended up there late night. Staff is friendly...the profiteroles are a must!

We had 6 hours in Paris on our final day in France, found this restaurant after a boat trip. I had cassolette de poulet champignons which was excellent, my son had spaghetti bolognaise which he was happy with. It's easy to get to after a boat trip or if you are on the Rue de Rivoli and it was open mid-afternoon unlike some others in the area. Speisekarte ansehen

Stopped in for a meal around 5 pm. We found a table outside which is always the double edged sword of fresh air and sharing the space with the smokers! They have English menus and the waiter spoke good English which helped since my French is terribly rusty. The food came relatively quickly. About $15 per entre before adding all the taxes. Despite the sign saying it was happy hour my half liter of draught beer was 8.50 euros. If you visit Paris you pay Paris prices! Toilet was clean as most the restaurant in general.

After a morning/afternoon stroll along the banks of the Seine on the last day of our stay in Paris, myself and my girlfriend were in the throes of a ravenous hunger. But, as this was the end of our trip, we found ourselves running low on funds and were just about to settle on a cheap meal in McDonalds when we stumbled upon the Cafe Joly. We were won over by their "du jour" menus - a starter for 3 euro and a main for 9.90 euro. The two courses were extremely filling and delicious. Staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming. Would highly recommend.

Staying at the Grand Hotel Dechampaigne (realy nice period hotel ) in Rue Jan Lantier. right in the middle of Paris. Just round the corner from the hotel were several restaurants.This one had an outside terrace and was packed with local people (a good sign).Finaly found a table and was realy surprised at the relatively cheap set menu. Several good choices and over the three nights I was in Paris I had a diferent choice each night from this menu. (Starter 3 euros. Main 10 euros. Desert 3 euros).I can honestly say that each one was very good. Not fancy but good solid food.I speak a little French but the servers spoke good English and spent time explaing the ones I did not know.Very attentive a... Speisekarte ansehen
