"It’s not the first time we’ve visited Lilu and that’s because it is SO good. They have outstanding, fresh, tasty food and wonderful service from all the staff who make you feel welcome as soon as you step inside. Two courses are £35 or three...for £39. Book yourself in to make sure you get a table. They also offer tasting menus and other options so it’s worth checking out their website. We had the soft shell crab and salmon with mango and mint, the chicken tikka and lamb cutlets kebabs with a blue cheese naan, a medium chicken dish with a tasty sweet sauce and potatoes, duck with a medium spiced sauce with rice and various exciting sides, we also had three of the Lilu special naans and the papadums with an assortment of chutneys. To finish we had the chocolate ganache dessert which was so tasty. This place is a definite must try in Leicester! You will not regret it."

"Honestly, best pancakes in town! Delicious, generous, fully vegan, and healthy cafe nestled on the outskirts of Leicester City centre. Beautiful tasty healthy food in a quiet atmosphere served swiftly and with a smile. I love it here and it is a place I have happily visited more than once. "Some of the portions for things are really big for example Korean style ramen (it was bigger than my face and I had to take some for takeaway). This restaurant allowed me to try new dishes and I think I had a really good experience considering I'm a picky eater. It was a pleasure to eat here. I highly recommend getting toppoki (I know I've spelt this wrong). Their miso soup wasn't to my tastes but it's worth trying nonetheless! The food is quite pricey so it's not somewhere you'd go all regularly but each time you go I'm sure it would be great. At the end of meal and when you pay for the bill they'll give you little sweets which is all the more reason I would go there. All in all, it was a pleasure to eat here and I'd recommend you give it a go."

"After so many years away, we decided to revisit this gorgeous place for my mum's birthday. I will say this is a delayed post, as they had the Christmas menu on. The food was great, however the service really lacked at first. A lot of the staff were very young and unattentive and sat us alone upstairs, so we did have to keep asking every so often where the food and drinks were. I will say that did change as the evening went on, and we ended up having a great waitress! Around £40pp Overall a great place to eat no doubt, but the service has really changed from super great to average in my eyes. Not a place I would rush back to."

"we stayed in leicester for a overnight stay and wanted to have Indian food after we looked at some places and read the reviews we selected here. I and my wife visited. the restaurant. Make sure that there are stairs to the entrance, the decor...inside could be a little more authentic, instead of simple walls and it is a bit crawling when full. the service. Not to blame, fast and with a smile from all employees. eating. we had poppadome and pickle tablet that were fresh. for the net we had chicken tikka biriyani that contained a cooked egg, it had a kick of seasoned, chicken tikka masala, pilau rice and we shared a plain nan. everything was fresh, we both agreed that we had not Indian eating so well in years. it was hot to get to our table quickly. the curry was perfectly seasoned and a lot of it. the next time we are in leicester, we will eat here definitiw again, it is a shame that we cannot deliver to south derbyshire. the only part of our visit were the loud, inconspicuous, dark one city fans (men and women) who tell the whole restaurant how good mahrez is! then they give to the personal abuse because the food did not taste as she wanted! I would give a 5-star review if the decor was better than the simple walls."
