Really nice breakfast experience. Staff very friendly. Food prepared beautifully. We have had a number of excellent dinners there as well.

Amazing Caesar salad with passionfruit martini. Most definitely will be back. Toilets are abit out of date for a lovely restaurant but that doesn’t really matter

The staff were lovely and food was great. There’s a good selection to choose from on the menu. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food. They had a nice selection of drinks. I would definitely recommend and return

As always I came looking for good food and good times sad to say I left having had neither. The combination of crusty hummus (that had clearly been left on the plate for a long time) and lip puckering lemon seasoning on chicken left a bitter taste (literally) in my mouth. My conclusion, bad food, sad times.

Came for early dinner before a gig. Had 3 courses from the set menu for £15.95. Chicken tacos and beef koftas to start, burger and linguine for main and ice cream desert. All we’re really good portion size, really tasty and great value. With 2 drinks and student discount it was just over £50 including service fantastic value

Delicious Sunday morning breakfast with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We both enjoyed the full English breakfast which was cooked to perfection, with crispy bacon and flipped eggs just as requested. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service was friendly and efficient. We would definitely return if we find ourselves back in Bristol.

Nice place but the food was well below what you would expect. The steak was tough and no steak knife offered. The steak on the steak sandwich was equally tough but unusually was not sliced, so to get your mouth around crisply ciabatta bread and a generously thick tough steak is just too much to handle! My son had the chicken and chorizo when was very nice. We also saw a chef take a chip from one of our plates on he pass….not the part of the meal he should have checked was ok unfortunately. Also nice that they are following the trend of adding a gratuity on the bill to save you the trouble of working out whether it was deserved or not.

I recently visited Coal Kitchen before going shopping. The restaurant had a unique and inviting atmosphere that was both comfortable and enjoyable. While the main menu looked appealing, the lunchtime menu exceeded our expectations. We took advantage of the 3 x two courses for £12.95 each offer, starting with cheesy garlic flatbread, bruschetta with tomatoes, and chicken tacos. For our main courses, we selected two burgers and the chicken and salad. All of the dishes were fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. I was pleasantly surprised by our experience at this restaurant, despite some negative reviews. We had a wonderful meal on Saturday at 5pm. The atmosphere was great and the service was lovely, although I wish I had gotten our server's name. We both tried the winter set menu, which offered 2 courses for £14.95 or 3 for £15.95. I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken tacos, which were full of flavor, and the shakshouka that followed was also delicious with great flavors and textures.
