"Excellent gourmet restaurant. The decor is superb, very modern and the lighting is sublime. The food, what can I say... The dishes are all better than the others, and the foods that I don't usually like here seem simply exquisite to me. The presentation is sober but really effective. The service is excellent. The chairs pulled out, the glasses served, the fascinating explanations... The only problem that I will highlight is water which is chargeable, which seems strange as water is a primary commodity which should not be chargeable. For someone like me who doesn't have a wallet allowing me to set foot there every weekend, it's a really pleasant one-off experience to treat myself from time to time for special occasions (birthday in section for example). And it's accessible to everyone if we do without fast food and other nonsense that is bad for both our health and our taste buds. Thank you to all the employees, servers and cooks of the restaurant for this experience which will have marked my culinary memories for a long time."

"Always nice, nice welcome, good advice for wines.... Only flat, the boards less garnished than before in cutters and cheeses to the detriment of raw vegetables ..... a little expensive of the coup for a board or tomatoes, carrots and cucumbers represent half of the board! But we appreciate this place and will come back to discover other dishes of the map."

"as soon as you cross the gates of the garett meals you feel transported on the other side of the ocean, American atmosphere guaranteed! 100% vintage decor, tv music clips and the dishes offered are totally different. choice in the menu, there are for all tastes and appetites, even some drinks arrive directly from uncle sam. if you want to spend a night without a chichi and feel the time of a meal outside the old angoulemia come here! not to mention the staff who give themselves to 200 % to satisfy us, especially brayan ;-) obviously if you compare with other closed restaurants that did not have the same concept at all (cf reviews below) do not cross the door, you will criticize, at least the garett to the merit of being there, having his print and style!"

First the bistro is in a street full of charm, the terrace very pleasant and the inside spirit very nice bistrot. the staff is kind and kind and well on the cuisine full of flavors. "Like some others seem to have found, the host here was extremely rude. I speak French, and after asking if I could seat myself and his agreement, the menu of the day was brought for me to peruse. When he came back to take my order, I enquired as to whether the main of the day, stuffed tomatoes, was vegetarian. I was promptly told no, of course not, and that the restaurant had no vegetarian meals (both entree menu options appeared to be vegetarian), and that nowhere in Angouleme would either. I politely enquired what the tomatoes were stuffed with, as I do sometimes eat a little fish. As they were stuffed with sausage, I politely declined, thanked the host, and was gathering my things to leave. The host told me I would need to find a vegetarian restaurant. I responded that one dish would be sufficient. The French (locals?) at the adjoining tables all seemed to be listening in shock. I myself walked away shocked. I have both lived and travelled in France, and have always told people from elsewhere that the French reputation for being rude is unfounded, however if this was one's first impression of France, it would stick!"
