Everything on the menu sounded great but you can't go past the local specialities, pizoccheri, sciat, polenta and sausages , bresola etc and the local wines belissimo !

An authentic restaurant with amazing food and an environment where the locals blend in with tourists. It's the kind of place where one can discover untold stories and maybe find the inspiration to write a novel.

The best indication for me as a foreigner to check if a restaurant is truly good, is the fact that even 'locals ' come here for special occasions. Loved the honest mountain dishes with just a twist of refined-ness. Speisekarte ansehen

We dined at this restaurant in May this year, obvious that locals like it as well. The food was honest local produce and delicious, especially liked the dessert made with digestive wine from the area. Service was informative about the local dishes, would rate as excellent.

Let’s start immediately saying that it’s worth trying it, I tried it at lunch. garbato service is very friendly, great choice among the different menus. excellent raw materials. clean the bathroom. sin for the lack of a covid verification procedure and for the low-quality cutter (pizzeria) and paper napkin of poor quality. price ratio quality quantity sufficient

Great place the overall structure. We stayed there one night, in Cà Surgu and it was lovely. You really feel like it was hundreds of years ago, nice harmonic atmosphere and the restaurant is in the same ancient building. Service and food great, wine fantastic as always in Valtellina. Suitable also for who wants to stop for dinner after the slopes of Bormio or Aprica, on the way and very unique. Speisekarte ansehen

We had an amazing stay in la contrada! The character and uniqueness of this place is worth the stay alone! The friendliness of this family run business is fantastic. Fabulous apartment with a complementary bottle of wine in the room as we were on honeymoon. Also juices and fruit provided in room free of charge. Restaurant is well worth a visit for very high standard local cuisine. They also provided us bikes. Well worth a visit!

we stayed for three nights at the contrada and for three nights below we had dinner at the restaurant with our two dogs. the wonderful frame is only a positive aspect of a more than positive experience, since we found ourselves in front of a very varied menu, composed in part by dishes of the Valtellina tradition, all made with fresh ingredients. the chef and all the staff have never made us regret the choice to dine in this place. wine paper at the height of the excellent cuisine, value for money very good.

We took the train over the Alps from Chur Switzerland and arrived in Tirano. A short taxi ride to us to the B&B Contrada Beltramelli. The owner came out and told us not to worry about the taxi fare. He was very warm and friendly and treated us like royalty. We walked into the hundreds of years old cobblestone courtyard to find it surrounded by for floors of rustic wood railing from which dried cobs of corn hung. It was like we had travelled back in time hundreds of years. Our room had big old wooden beams across the ceiling and was an absolute delight, steeped in old artifacts hanging from the walls. We were enchanted. The owner and staff were simply the most hospitable people we encountered... Speisekarte ansehen
