"We chose East because it was one of the few places open on a Monday that wasn't in lockdown. When we first arrived, I wasn't best impressed with the sign, and thought we were heading into your bog standard traditional English/Cantonese restaurant. However, once we board the restaurant, everything was wonderful. The food was largely cooked from scratch, and every dish was a joy."

We opted for the vegetarian set menu and were thoroughly impressed. The flavors were amazing and there was a good variety of dishes. The portion size was generous and more than enough to satisfy the four of us.

Consistently excellent food served by friendly staff in a unique atmosphere. The restaurant wasn't crowded during our visit, but there was some noise from the pub below (which was expected). We enjoyed the lunch special and the view of rowers and swans on the lake. The background music was a bit odd, but overall a great experience. We will definitely be back.
