"We had intended to visit this restaurant for some time, and wish we had visited sooner. The atmospheric old building is tucked away on the outskirts of Perin between Puerto de Mazarron and Cartagena, in extensive and rustic gardens. The property was once owned by the British then Swedish Consul, but has been owned by the same Spanish family for forty years now. The granddaughter of the current owner was our waitress today speaks pretty good English and served us four different starters, main, dessert and coffee. For menu del dia there was no written menu the food just arrived, varied and plentiful. Starters included homemade liver pate with a sweet sauce, scrambled eggs with spinach and ham, and fish croquettes. No mixed salad!! Hurrah!! Served in most places and usually a boring selection of lettuce, tomatoes and other vegetables from jars carrots, beetroots, capers, etc . Main course was chicken with homemade fries, followed by a choice of home cooked desserts or ice cream. All were very good. As is often the case in Spain, there were few vegetables I would love to see a more healthy addition of more local seasonal produce but not the ubiquitous salad! . The dining room is very traditional, and like stepping back in time; traditional tiles, picture rails, and corner fireplace. Sadly the fire went out whilst we were there and I was a little chilly, but it is winter!! Charming restaurant beautiful staircase! and very good service, so strongly recommended."

Good restaurant. the curious and quiet place with old (not old). Modernist epoch dining room with hydraulic soil of the year good raw materials, very good attention and service. We recommend to be advised by josé that is also sumelier. fully recommended. Speisekarte ansehen

Been coming here for the last six or so years. Really love the surprise menu idea. You get five or six courses and haven't had a disappointing course so far. If you're vegan or vegetarian best to call upfront they were very accommodating. Would highly recommend if you're ever in the region.

Look, I've heard of him wonders. the building outside is quite ugly, but it improves when entering and the living room we were in was quite cozy. However, I don't see you unlocking at the culinary level. rice was even sous. simple food and personally I don't worth the mileage to go to something done, the truth.
