during our spelling visit we wanted to stop to have lunch at the propertium enoteca . Fast and professional service. each dish is skillfully described, as well as being of excellent quality and well presented. We spent a magical evening at Enoteca Properzio, enjoying the company of Luca, Irene and their father Roberto. It's easy to see why this warm and welcoming family has been in the business for eight generations...they know their stuff. What a pleasure to drink unique wines with a master sommelier, perfectly paired with simple but delicious food. We even were serenaded throughout the evening by a live concert just down the street. We had to order some wine and olive oil to send home so we can relive this lovely evening again.

This is one incredible place and a must stop when visiting the beautiful town of Spello. Opt for the wine tasting and you will not regret it! The food they prepare to accompany their first-class wines is absolutely delicious- especially the truffle pasta. We went back three times during our stay and fell in love with Luca and his lovely family members who have worked this business for 8 generations. We even took a cooking course here with a Michelin star chef. What an incredible experience. The highlight of our entire trip to Italy!

We decided to splurge and try the 5 course degustazione menu with paired wines. The wines were very good, however the food was a huge disappointment. The quality of the food served was not comparable to other degustazione menus we have tried. The expectation is to have very high quality foods prepared and presented in unique ways. Instead, we got bruschetta, vegetable soup, a small portion of pasta and a couple of meatballs. The dessert was biscuits. The disappointment is in the price you are paying for the basic common food that was served. We had eaten the same things at other restaurants in the area for a fraction of the price we paid here.
