Food was in my opinion excellent, especially when compared to the other unmentionable. Can't sing praises of our visit to the island enough. If looking for a break thougharly recommend. In saying that we had wall to wall sunshine.Regards Oor Welly PS heard from a good source the Glenburn hotel has been bought."

I did not stay at the hotel but I dined at the restaurant. The menu stated that the chips were supposed to be hand-cut, but they were actually frozen chips with hard bits throughout. It was not the best I've ever had. The service was rated as a 3 out of 5.

The restaurant on the first floor offers a great view of the harbor and town square. The menu is extensive and reasonably priced, with a good choice of wines. The staff is friendly and service was fast, even during busy times. We both enjoyed the Cullen Skink, and I also had the lasagna, both of which were delicious. The Tempranillo wine paired nicely with our meal.

I visited a charming restaurant in an old building with a beautiful entrance and an appealing old bar inside. I ordered penne carbonara, kids chicken nuggets, fish cakes, and a tuna wrap, all of which were delicious. The service was excellent, and although I was going to mention the dated signage, my wife thought that the whole of Bute had the same vibe, so I didn't think it was necessary. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food at this restaurant is excellent, but one staff member, possibly the owner, could benefit from improving their people skills. They were very rude, bullied the staff, and slammed cupboards right next to our table. I felt sorry for the young girl who was waiting on our table. As residents of Bute, my family and I used to dine here once or twice a week, but we have decided to stop going because of the owner's rudeness. Service: 1 out of 5.
