I went to the London bar for a lunch and I was happy: I took a toasted avocado with scrambled eggs and a crisp monsieur, ending with a hot chocolate and a ginger infusion. I was walking to Campo De Fiori one morning and on the way was looking for a place to have a maritozzi. Every place I passed had none. I was hell bent on finding one. Once at the market, I asked someone and he directed me a block away to this little alley. This little place had 2 elderly men working there and seemed not to speak any English. I easily ordered the maritozzi and a cappuccino and one man brought it to a little table outside where I sat next to a table full of Italian women. I listened to them talk…. not knowing anything they were saying….and enjoyed every minute while I had breakfast.
