Forhan's Original Indian Food

Best Indian in Sunderland. We live out of Sunderland so have to pay extra delivery charge, but the food is really good. Highly recommend to everyone

Ordered for delivery from here on Saturday husband had chicken Sri Lanka and rice I had a chicken tikka wrap which was lovely but bit dry I should have ordered garlic dip well worth the price tho and didn’t wait too long for delivery

Called here for a takeaway as we had been to panto 1st time I’d tried it and wasn’t disappointed I had chicken buns onion rice and a garlic naan also pakora for starter it was absolutely delicious chicken melted in my mouth will definitely be back Speisekarte ansehen

1st class customer service, i had a bit of a wrong delivery previously and got a plain nan instead of garlic and they have offered me free popadoms on this occasion,the food is also absolutely fabulous, well worth the daily special and very value for money

Absolutely amazing the haralli is amazing yes it’s bright green but it’s so good, the rice is lovely and chips well cooked very good value for what got, kids love their food so that was a bonus no idea what the husband went for but he said it was very tasty

Been using Forhans for takeaway for a few months now, bit late with a review but this place produces consistently superb food and delivery has always been quicker than anywhere we've used in the past. Don't bother going anywhere else, this place would get 6 Stars from me if I could! Always had awesome Indian food from Forhans, the chef is a genius! Speisekarte ansehen

First time visit to Forhans and won't be the last! Beef madras was very tender not rubberised like a lot of other takeaways in this neck of the woods!! Enjoyed the sheek kebab not too spicy the naan bread was great big enough to mop up the sauce and left over egg rice. Roll on next Saturday for a deal 2 daily special, as long as we can find our way from Washington again(3 miles) lol

No lamb?? The food was good but, no better than countless other local Indians (or should I say Bangladeshi, as that’s what they actually are . ...... How can any credible Indian food establishment not include lamb dishes ? Save your money and go to one of many other excellent takeaways in Sunderland. Rasoi, Mumbai Silk, Chilli Mangoes , Bengal Spice. To name but a few. And how is anyone supposed to be able to read one of those menus on Facebook, come on, that’s just poor.

After seeing many good comments about this place and speaking to the owner about the food I decided to give it a try. After being told the tikka chips and Sri Lanka curry were a must try i opted for these owners recommendations and I was not disappointed. The tikka chips were absolutely sensational and the Sri Lanka curry was a great change from my normal Madras, it was fragrant and tasty with a nice kick of spice. The Mrs had king prawn Madras and said the prawns were lovely, nice soft chunky chips and a couple of great starters. The staff were a pleasure to deal with and nothing was a problem for them. I Highly recommend this place so much so I'm waiting for my second order now. Speisekarte ansehen
