"When I choose restaurants, I do read reviews when available and also seek personal recommendations. Happily, this does mean that most of my reviews are positive. I am pleased to say that this is also a very positive review and I am happy to highly recommend Hostaria Elisa. This is a charming small restaurant in the lovely village of Bocca Di Valle on the outskirts of Guardiagrele. It probably has a maximum capacity inside of twenty five or so diners with a few more tables outside. We visited with friends having pre-booked a few days earlier. It was a good job we had done so as all the inside tables were occupied within a short time of service beginning. We actually arrived early, which surprised the owners who didn't expect to open until 8pm, despite our booking being for 7.30. This was no problem as we were able to enjoy a good beer wine outside before being shown to our table. We shared two servings of antipasti between the four of us. This really was a meal in itself, an absolutely delicious assortment of local produce. For the next course we each chose different homemade pasta dishes. The pasta made on the premises really did make a difference and we all enjoyed this course. For me the highlight was the lamb chops roasted over the wood embers. I cannot remember when I have eaten more delicious lamb for a long time. The was accompanied by locally produced wine which went down very well and finished off with deserts and coffee. A final pleasant surprise was the bill. A very reasonable amount for a fantastic evening that we had all thoroughly enjoyed. One of nicest meals for a long time. All credit to the pleasant couple who run it. Once again I strongly recommend Hostaria Elisa."

"Aver trovato la ricercatezza e la bontà nei piatti di questo piccolo locale in un paese abruzzese che è Rapino, piccolo borgo in provincia di Chieti, è la conferma dei tanti tesori nascosti che abbiamo nella nostra regione. Locale arredato con gusto, servizio attento e cordiale ma soprattutto preparato nel descrivere i piatti e la loro preparazione ed elaborazione con materie prime eccellenti. Un particolare elogio ad un antipasto (vitello tonnato) che per tecnica e sapore della carne con la sua morbidezza ed i capperi sapientemente utilizzati e di grande qualità darebbe filo da torcere al piatto tipico Piemontese dal quale trae origine questo antipasto freddo ma che può essere anche un secondo piatto, tra l'altro viene servita una porzione davvero abbondante. Ottimi i primi piatti, in particolare i tortelli di capra e zafferano e la pasta con patate e pecorino, per finire la tempura di baccalà croccante molto particolare. Gestione del locale giovane e professionalmente preparata, a voi tutti i miei complimenti."

"Intrigued by friends who talked about it I decided to spend one evening in this lovely country that I love and visit this jewel, because it is a very cute place and respects the personality of the owner, nice and very kind. Customer of all ages, beautiful music, spectacular cocktails, professional barman (a little sad). We will be back soon to taste the sandwiches that advised us to try. Congratulations"
