"My parents live local and have used this garden centre for years. They like the fish and chips. Average to me). Our last visit to the cafe was disastrous. Upon arrival, no hot meals, just overpriced sandwiches £6+ for a sandwich). It was 135pm and I noticed the afternoon tea for 2 at £14 with sandwiches, cakes and drink. Not bad value I thought. I knew it wasn 't 2pm but asked and was met with. It 's not 2pm I asked as there was no meals and sandwiches looked unappetising if they could help. No, it 's not 2pm . No budging. My mum went for some fruit bread and my dad was offered the last macaroni cheese. Meal). With 1 cup of tea and a coffee it was over £12. Ouch. Upon sitting down we noticed that mon-thur over 65 couldn 't have a meal with a free pudding and cuppa. My dad, 82 enquired. He was told he should of asked when paying and nothing could be done. We pointed out that the advert wasn 't on the counter just the tables so how would we Know? Sorry nothing could be done. Interesting customer service. The till ladies have little is empathy or customer service and just chat to ach other when tables, chairs, surfaces need attention. I 'm afraid until they get rid of the till lady this place offers very little in appeal. Her lack of customer service puts people off and I heard a few moaning about her curt customer service. The food was ok at best, nothing you couldn 't make yourself or buy cheaper elsewhere. The reason for 2 stars was for the garden centre plants, pots, other sections) If it was for the cafe alone, zero. Would I recommend it? NO, dreadful cafe."

Nearly half an hour wait for a bowl of soup and a toastie. Food ok. Slow service. Convenient for a trip out, but nothing special.

The restaurant always has a great variety of plants available, including herbs, flowers, fruit trees, and shrubs. They are always healthy and well-maintained.

Friendly staff who happily obliged when we needed a new coffee. The first one was so weak it was hard to discern any coffee taste at all. Very nice sandwich but not worth the £6 paid for it. Nice place to mooch around but a bit pricey for food/drink.

Visiting the Garden Centre, we popped into the café for a hot chocolate and cakes for the kids. Quick service, reasonably priced with very nice hot choc. Free water for the kids. Lots of seating and tables though not cleaned down that often. An OK pit stop. Speisekarte ansehen

I visited this restaurant with my three granddaughters, aged 3, 4, and 6 years old. Unfortunately, there was an issue in the kitchen that day, so we were only able to order from a limited menu. The children enjoyed their food, which arrived promptly. I decided to order the jacket potato, which was decent but nothing outstanding.

We went for breakfast. Having not had a good experience before, it was a second chance. We will not be returning. Breakfast had obviously been precooked. My mushrooms and tomato were dried up. Bacon very well done . 2 slices of toast £1.50. Bill of £20 for 2 breakfasts and drinks. The staff were pleasant but not well trained. All in all they really need to get a grip. And not everyone appreciates being addressed as You guys

Our first visit, meeting friends for lunch. Sign said no hot lunches being served so we opted for soup for one of us and a sandwich for the other. I asked if the soup came with a roll, was informed that it didn't so I asked for one. No rolls but they could provide bread and butter. OK, I ordered this. When it came there was one slice of bread already buttered that's what you do for children! The cost of this slice of buttered bread was £1.50 !! I'd like to know their justification for this. I drove 6 miles to the last Wyevale in Swindon to try their Wimbledon Afternoon Tea for two special, advertised to be served from 2pm. Despite arriving at 3:40pm on a Sunday afternoon, with the garden centre closing at 4:30pm, I was told that the kitchen was closing down and they could not accommodate me. When I asked the lady at the till until what time the afternoon tea was available, she replied, "I don't know, I just work here." I was very disappointed with my experience and won't be returning. Next time, I'll try Dobbies, which is closer to home.

I visit the garden centre regularly, but this was the first time I ate at the cafe. For a Saturday I was pleasantly surprised. The large cappuccinos were tasty and good value for money. There was a fantastic selection of home made looking cakes, although we didn't have one this time round. I would definitely go there again for tea and cake. After a browse in the garden centre we returned for a late lunch. Thankfully the kitchen was still doing hot food, the panini and cheese and baked beans jacket potato was well presented with salad and coleslaw. The food was adequate if not a little pricey. The soft drinks were very expensive, but they do offer free table water which is in a jug near the c...

"Went here to celebrate a couple of friends birthdays and had a very mixed evening. It was a Monday night so it was quiet and we were one of only a handful of tables. We were a party of four and there were no tables any larger than ours in that evening. We were seated quickly and that was about the one and only thing that happened all night with any kind of urgency. Our orders were taken and we were waiting 20 minutes or more for our first round of drinks. About half way through this, we were informed that three of the four meals we had ordered were sold out (something you'd think we'd have been informed of at the time of ordering . We thought we could quench our thirst with some water whilst waiting for our drinks but sadly no one ever came over to refill our glasses. When the food finally arrived it was delicious and I couldn't fault it at all (even if it wasn't my first choice on the menu! , so that made up for lack of service. We ordered a dessert each although only 3 of them arrived. My friend had to ask for her coffee which also didn't have any signs of showing and then when her dessert didn't show she just gave up on it (it was never put through the system . I ordered a glass of red wine, specifying the wine and was given a glass of what I assume was house red at least I wasn't mis charged for it as it was cheaper than the one I ordered! Even paying the bill was an ordeal, taking us a while to get it and then having to go through line by line to see if any of the food we ordered and didn't get hadn't been taken off (there was one additional meal on the bill . All in all a bit of a shambles but at least the delicious food and the wonderful company meant it didn't dampen our evening too much. Don't think I'd come back on a quiet night again, seems the service staff take it as a sign to disappear."
