Garstang Fish And Chips

this tends to be our “go to” leaving when we want a chippy tee. I had steak cake, chips curry, all well, although the cake was just one ted dry on crust. wife had fish chips that they enjoyed as usual.

Friday night its “chippy tea” time! I had pineapple fritter, fishcakes, chips curry. Chips great, rest all very good. My wife has fish chips which she said it was great. Lovely clean restaurant takeaway, good service excellent food.

Called in for lunch whilst visiting Garstang today. Lovely freshly cooked fish and chips and definitely not greasy. Mushy peas, bread and butter and a pot of tea. Great value. Staff kept the restaurant disinfected after each table vacated. Speisekarte ansehen

We do like the chips from here, and unlike some reviews think they have actually got better over the years. However when you buy sauce, the sauce pot gets put inside the box, taking up soooo much room where you should be getting chips. It's...not acceptable, sort it out!!!

Very disappointed. The fundamental part of serving fish, chips and mushy peas, is cooking the three main items. Sadly bullet peas and soggy chips do not compensate for the nice fish. Having someone in charge, with to ability to solve problems, would also help. This...award winning chippy is in danger of losing its very hard won reputation.

I wrote a review a couple of years ago on how good this fish and chip shop was, well have been twice since and the am sorry to say it’s gone really downhill. Went today 19th February, I know I went early, about 11.40am but...the chips were not at all fresh, tasted awful and the batter on the fish was the same, it had a bad taste to it, probably old oil. I can't blame myself from the first ones. the building is well maintained. this is often a note that they want to deliver a quality product. when I went to the building ni was greeted by at least two employees who would be short with me. After waiting for four less than 30 seconds, my order was taken and was less than a minute later. again the staff were friendly and enthusiastic about the service. the fish and chips were very good. overall very impressive.

Food was fine nothing exceptional though, but the place is so cold in autumn/winter that I would urge people not to go in. It's cold to the point of being not pleasant and it's an insult to their paying customers. it's quite desolate...too. We ate up asap in order to get out and get home. I'd go back in the few warm months that Garstang has other than that forget it. They've clearly failed to think about a customers experience. Had it been warm it would be a 3 star rating. As you cant give stars for comfort its a 2.

we decided to have two lunch specialties on Saturday, sausage chips and one side. around £3.95 everyone I thought this was a fairer price to be eaten in the caffe. had also a coffee and a tee. big mistake of the bill came to an eye what watered £19.55. I wish we had just the two meal times as a farewell now for a cost of under £8 they should expect to pay a little more for eating, but this was a complete demolition! we asked the carry, but it was properly informed we will not make this mistake at least had thick turpin the courtesy to wear a mask Speisekarte ansehen
