"I am writing this review on behalf of my Grandparents, who ordered a meal to accommodate 4 people from this establishment for their 2020 Christmas dinner. When trying to complain, the Manager was abrupt, dismissive, rude and only expressed an interest in the complaint when my Grandmother mentioned that she had taken photos of the food in question. This is a very lengthy review, but I would urge people to read to the end , as my Grandparents have experienced appalling service from the manager of this establishment, and people need to know about this. They ordered paid for 4 meals and starters over the phone. Upon collection of the order, it was clear that the order was incorrect and not up to a satisfactory standard for example the rice orders were wrong (3 fried rice instead of boiled rice some kind of congealed pineapple chicken dish was supplied instead of lemon chicken, the chicken omelette was salty and soggy as it had so much oil in the container, and the chips were very dry and salty. Not worth a penny paid, or worth the trouble my Grandfather took to drive to collect the order . As mentioned above, the manager was very abrupt and dismissive of my Grandmother 's complaint (his initial response being what do you want me to do about that .......Even though he could see this had ruined their Christmas meal (this was supposed to be a rest for my Grandmother who cooks the other 364 days of the year . He was very keen for my Grandmother to throw the food away, she offered numerous times to return it to his establishment, but his reply each time was to throw the food away. When my Grandmother mentioned that she had taken photos, and then went onto mention that she could post the photos on the internet, the manager suddenly changed his tune. After a lengthy phone call, it was agreed that another order could be placed, free of charge for 1st January 2021. My grandmother checked again to see if the manager wanted to see the food as proof he said that he didn 't want to see it, and they agreed that my Grandfather would collect at an agreed time. On 1st January my Grandfather arrived at the agreed time, and nobody answered the door. Eventually somebody answered, and the manager was summoned. He asked to see proof of the original order, and so my Grandfather (bear in mind we are talking about a couple who are in their 70 's went back to his car, got his phone and took it back to show to the manager the photos. The manager 's response being nice photos no food and sent my Grandfather away. In the freezing cold, on New Year 's Day. Utterly disgusting treatment of a formally loyal customer. On the upside, my Grandfather happened to notice that another establishment nearby was open Wok Wok. Even though he hadn 't placed an order with them in advance they very kindly offered to cook his food to order if he didn 't mind waiting. Their food was perfect, their service was second to none and my grandparents are delighted to have found a new Chinese take away that respects and appreciates their custom. So, in the words of my Grandmother goodbye Golden Crown and hello Wok Wok."

half an hour later. no scratches that come as standard at most takeaways. soße was out of the box. eating did not correspond to the description on the website. meat in the chow mine had a funny taste. pork was dry and hard. would not recommend.

Worst chinese I've ever had. The chicken was slimey, the veg was black and rotten the curry was to thick and to spicy and the shredded chilli chicken must have had a whole bottle of syrup in it that it was unedible. Disgrace. Read the reviews and stay clear of this place

foods that are reheated in the microwave, not terrible, but obviously not freshly cooked. they have good suppening, even they are not freshly made they are still quite delicious. not a fan of this place, ordered few paintings because they are 5 min of me and are late open.

Absolutely disgusting meal for Xmas Day which ended up in the bin. Doubt very much if a cook prepared it at all. Duck shredded like sawdust taster old. King Prawns in batter soggy undercooked Curry so set, implant of lid visible when opened. Noodles not used, due to above. 1 member ended up with sore stomach after trying above. Emailed complaint. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this restaurant! Our delivery was over an hour late (almost 2 hours) and the delivery driver was rude, demanding a delivery charge that had already been paid before handing over the cold, greasy food. It was unacceptable to send such slop to customers. We couldn't even salvage it by trying to warm it up, so it went straight into the trash. When we called to complain, we were met with more rudeness. Absolutely terrible experience.

Eating came in 15 minutes (surprising) eating was £16.50 so gave £20 note and asked driver for my change, and the answer was because of the kovid that we did not deal with money. I gave them money. now the food was for 15 minutes to be here, the chow my in plastic container, I can say that it was prefabricated and was there for when I went a few on a teller that held it in the form of the tub and fell out. the sweet and acid chicken meat was like moss! absolute sweat of a company

AVOID this place. Ordered online via Deliveroo. Was meant to be delivered 00:10 waited past 1am and didn't show up until it magically said delivered on the app. Waiting in hotel lobby and no one showed. Tried to get refund from Deliveroo but they can't get through to the restaurant but when ever I call them they say contact Deliveroo as they have the money. They then tell Deliveroo that the order was in fact delivered. Disgusting behaviour waiting till 1am for food and then being charged adds insult to injury!

I placed an order for food at 5:15 pm with an expected delivery time of 6:05-6:20 pm. By 6:20 pm, there was no sign of the food, so I contacted the restaurant for an update. They then changed the delivery time to 6:50 pm, but the food still had not arrived by then. I called the restaurant at 7:15 pm and was informed that the driver had not taken the food when he left for deliveries. I asked them to cancel the order on Uber Eats, but they said they needed to speak to a manager and would call me back. After calling them again, I was told they were going to call me back. I have used this takeaway in the past and had good meals but the chinese guy taking the order had come across as borderline rude/ignorant in the past but I had given him the benefit of the doubt. Ordered a meal last night (27 Oct 20) at 1800hrs for 2. I ordered shredded chilli chicken and also honey chilli chicken, with side portions of chips and curry sauce. My meal of shredded chilli chicken was loverly as usual but the honey chilli chicken was reported as dry by partner, and the chips were litterally dried out and inedible.
