Popped in at about 8 pm asked for steak and kidney pue but only had one chicken and mushroom pie left .So had that got home 5 mins later ,Pie was very dry Bottom off pie was rock hard and dark brown like it been there for days ,totally inedible so gave it to my dog definitely worst pie I've ever bought never again il.go to sandhurst instead Food: 1

Very disappointed. By the time we got it home, the batter was soggy, basically inedible. When I lifted the fish to put it on the plate it was dripping with oil. The chips were under cooked and soggy. The only good thing was when the batter was removed, the piece of cod was lovely and perfectly just cooked. Shame we've used that shop for years. Ordered fish and chips online using the app and to pick up order in person. I had hoped that the 15% discount offered would result in a saving! Don't bother as the order ended up costing more than had I ordered inhouse after the addition of their service fee and their packing fee. Two young women who were supposed to be serving were chatting while my food sat getting cold. The cook, who I assume was the manager or owner, was watching them. It seems like they don't prioritize customers who order through delivery services. I would advise them to stop offering the service if they cannot provide good service. I wouldn't recommend ordering from this restaurant for delivery. I cannot comment on the food as I have never tried it. Ordered online on their website. Very good value and cooked properly, not greasy like many others in the area. Generous large chip portion comfortably enough for 2-3 people. Staff were working hard but ignored anyone walking in until they were ready to acknowledge them which was a little disappointing, but if fewer staff helps keep the prices down then I can live with that. This restaurant offers good value and decent food. It's nice to have the option of pollock on the menu. The fish had a nice, crisp batter and was not greasy. A meal of pollock, small chips, and mushy peas costs £9.60. The staff serving us were polite and helpful, however, the person frying the food seemed annoyed when I ordered pollock instead of the pre-cooked cod in the cabinet. I prefer to wait a few minutes for freshly cooked fish, rather than something that has been sitting out for a while.
