Lovely outdoor balcony with seats overlooking the canal. Amazing value for roasts and snacks as well as delicious home baked cakes and biscuits

Neverending pots of tea, both had a pot of tea which seemed bottomless, pleasant staff and pristinely clean toilets. Table next to us had afternoon teas which looked very nice

Booked and attended afternoon tea for 6. Staff pleasant , friendly and welcoming. Food served very promptly and was lplentiful and lovely. Price was very good. Gave us boxes to bring home what we couldn't manage to finish. Speisekarte ansehen

Amazing venue to hire. All the staff were so amazing. Really helpful . Matt couldnt have been more helpful or obliging . Really made a special birthday memorable. Dudley canal trust is lucky to have these members of staff cannot recommend enough Sue and Nerissa

The service at this restaurant was exceptional. It was my son's birthday and the wonderful staff exceeded our expectations. They took care of us with a personal touch and we are truly thankful for their kindness. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. Thank you.

We visited the cafe twice and just had drinks. They were good and we enjoyed sitting out on the balcony overlooking the canal. Staff were friendly too. We even came over from the Blackcountry Museum as it was nicer sitting here! Shame about the toilets though….they needed some attention! Speisekarte ansehen

I came in for a boat trip which was excellent and well informed however my experience certainly changed when i arrived upstairs at the gongoozler cafe, the ladies on the till were lovely and helpful however when trying to order a bacon sarnie i was told they only serve baps? Although on the menu it states sarnies/baps this has never been an issue before so i dont understand why it is now? How hard is it to swap a cob to a piece of bread?!?!

I visited Gongoozler yesterday for afternoon tea with Prosecco, which my daughter had purchased for us. The cakes, scones, and finger sandwiches were amazing. The restaurant had plenty of space between tables, table service, and the new NHS app for bookings, making me feel very safe. The young girl who looked after us was excellent; she seemed to be multitasking serving, taking orders, wiping tables, and preparing food all at once. I don't know her name, but she was working yesterday at 1:00 pm. She definitely deserves a pay raise. Well done, Gongoozler!

I booked afternoon tea for my wife and myself. We preordered one sweet and one savory option. When we arrived, Megan had set a table for us on the outdoor terrace with a backup option inside in case of bad weather. Since it was a beautiful, sunny day, we chose the terrace with a view of the canal and boats. The service was quick and fantastic. We were served generous portions of both sweet and savory items, leaving us feeling satisfied. Our drinks were served hot and just as we requested. Megan, our waitress, was efficient and attentive.
