Never disappoints this place. Spotlessly clean, very efficient and friendly. Just great fish and chips, you can't go wrong.

Just be absolute best fish and chips! We ate in 3 times in the one week. It’s that good. Don’t hesitate- the food here is top drawer!

We made a spontaneous decision to dine at this restaurant early on a Saturday evening. Despite being busy, we were able to find comfortable seating that suited us. I started with the fish goujons, which had lovely fresh fish inside a light batter. For our main course, we both chose the lightly battered cod, which was very tasty and cooked perfectly as always. The service was pleasant and friendly, with staff taking the time to chat and socialize with us.

The food and service at this restaurant were absolutely fantastic. We visited to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday, and the gluten free menu was excellent. My wife has Coeliac disease, so it can be difficult to find good restaurants that offer options for her. Even though I am not gluten free, I tried their gluten free food and found it to be really tasty. The service was quick, friendly, and efficient. I would highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back. Thank you.

We visited the restaurant as a group of three for dinner. Our friend, who joined us, has dietary restrictions for gluten and dairy. He usually has difficulty finding suitable options on menus, but this was not the case here. The restaurant had a wide variety of gluten-free dishes, including gluten-free beer. They also offered oat milk and dairy-free ice cream for dessert. We were extremely pleased with the food and service and will definitely return the next time our friend is in town from Guernsey. We have been to this restaurant many times and never been disappointed. We went recently and tried something different. We both had the garlic mushrooms for starters which were delicious. My partner had the fish cake while the moussaka with Greek salad. My partner enjoyed her fish cake while my moussaka was absolutely delicious. It was a very large portion and I couldn't eat it all. As usual the service was fantastic with all the staff being very friendly and efficient. I would recommend Green Lane to anyone looking for a pleasant eating environment which is reasonable value for money.

We'd decided to go to Green Lane fish and chip restaurant last Friday having had a busy day.We had been intending to have the rag pudding but when we sat down Paul the owner manager told us they were doing a Christmas special which he highly recommended as did all the staff. So we both had the Festive pie with chips,mushy peas and gravy. The pie included Turkey,sausages,stuffing in gravy and was absolutely delicious.We both really enjoyed it but I struggled to eat it all as it was quite a generous portion. As usual the staff were very friendly and helpful. The service has always been excellent and overall value for money.

Visited last week , 3 of us and a sit in as a treat as one of us wasn’t having the best of times. I had a fish supper £11-20 and a cider £4 ish Next was a double sausage, gravey and chips along with a cider And the last one was beef burger chips and a milk shake. I was expecting to pay around £45 . You have to go to the counter for the bill were a young lady punches away at a calculator, no itemised bill or anything. The bill was £68 ! I know I should of complained then but there was quite a queue plus as it was a treat for someone who didn’t want a fuss. I did ring to complain and I sent an email. Nothing .
