Hare Hounds - Speisekarte

Food ok badly presented don't want everything piied under a Yorkshire pudding and don't want to sit for a meal surrounded by tvs with football on withal really looking forward to our meal but a great disappointment

Out walking and dining later so popped in here for a sandwich. Ordered an egg sandwich and chips, took half an hour, had to chase it up, they weren't busy. Sneezed in the toilet, no loo roll. They did have Sky Sports on TV if I remember rightly.

We had the most fantastic lunch, drinks and friendly service. We shared a starter of loaded fries with chilli beef and cheese which was a full dinner plate size. Then off the lunch menu for about £7 each we had haddock goujons and posh fish goujon butties. We were absolutely stuffed. The food is delicious and can’t wait to go back. Speisekarte ansehen

As it was my wife's birthday, we decided to go out for something to eat. Having had a great meal at the Hare and Hounds previously my review at Xmas we decided to go there again and were definitely not disappointed. the food was fantastic, Steak Ale pie was to die for ! , and service was spot on. If you want decent food and in a good place give them a try.

Customer service is ON POINT! I originally drove down from Blackpool for their cheese and onion pie… however on arrival I was told they were sold out! So I was obviously gutted, but ordered a steak burger instead…. To my surprise the waitress came over and told me that the chef had made me a pie specially for me!!!! And it didn’t disappoint!! It was amazing as usual!!! Highly recommended

5 of us went in at 2pm and were advised they were stopping serving food in 20 mins. So we asked for menus quickly while we ordered some drinks. The drinks came with black chunks stuck to the inside of the glasses. When we took them back the bar staff advised all the glasses were all like that. He seemed unaware it was more than likely mold from the glass washer, and would need a good scrub. Also my glass had lipstick marks on it. We thought if that was the condition of the drinks, what would the food be like? So we left our drinks and went elsewhere. Speisekarte ansehen

Can’t speak highly enough. Pre-booked a table for 8 of us over the phone so that we knew we’d be ok given it was ahead of the Accrington v Bolton game down the road. Had to pre order our food but no issue at all with that as it meant as soon as we all arrived the food was being cooked without prompting. Burgers were great and the cheese pie was out of this world. The pub were happy for us to leave our cars on the car park during the game so it was only fair to call in for a pint after the game to celebrate getting to Wembley! Will definitely visit again if we play Accrington again in future

We visited this pub on a Saturday lunchtime. Firstly, I will say the food was excellent. Unfortunately, the service was not. When I ordered the food, I was told it would be about 40 minutes as it was freshly cooked, which is fair enough. After 45 minutes a barmaid approached us and told us that they had forgot to put our order through to the kitchen. We were given the option of a refund, but waited as we still wanted food. So, by the time the food came we had waited nearly 90 minutes. The steak and ale pies with chips were excellent. However, this was a basic error, which should not have occurred, particularly as the pub was very quiet when we made our order.

Really disappointed. Food was inedible. The hot chilli nachos were really cold so we sent it back. They just warned it up in microwave, it was still cold and now soggy. I ordered a garlic naan bread, it was just a dry shop bought one with cold unmelted grated cheese on it and no garlic, not even warmed up. I sent it back to be heated up and it came back still cold and the cheese was still unmelted. The halloumi fries were cold n came with no dip. And a dried up burger for our son. I went to the bar to complain but they didn't seen interested. Been here many times and had good food but we will not be going back again to be given disgusting and cold food and bad service!
