This charming hotel is perfect for a relaxing retreat. It has a unique charm with cozy bedrooms, a beautiful drawing room, and inviting fires. The hotel is also very accommodating to dogs. Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Definitely a place to go to get away from everyday distractions. We had a very relaxing time and the staff were great. We ate in the brasserie one night and the restaurant the second. Our only criticism would be that we would have preferred a less formal menu in the brasserie. We will definitely return at some point. Was there for a surprise 60th birthday party. Beautiful Art Deco hotel. Every room was different and unique. Food was excellent however, breakfast service was quite slow. Very remote location but well worth the drive. Would highly recommend. One night stay for a 40th birthday celebration. Enjoyed a delicious meal in restaurant and stayed in the Lakeland suite. More expensive than other rooms but worth it for the balcony and views. Beautiful art deco hotel in stunning location with really helpful, friendly staff. Finished off our stay with a hearty breakfast before check out. Would definitely recommend. Rooms: 5

We had a wonderful evening at the Haweswater Hotel. Our room was cozy and well-appointed, the food was delightful, and the location was perfect for a secluded getaway. The staff were all very friendly, especially the woman who served us breakfast (unfortunately, I didn't catch her name) - she was charming and had a fantastic sense of humor. Additionally, we appreciated that the hotel is dog-friendly. Overall, we give the rooms a rating of 5.

First of the reasons i love this place, its quirky, its old and its different, its in an incredible setting with loads of walks nearby and wildlife everywhere. The food was great and those who say the portions aren't big enough must be scoff guts, even after a full day hiking the rough crag they where enough to refuel us. this is an older characterful hotel, so if your looking for silent pristine boring blandness find yourself a holiday inn, or if you want to make a memory that will last then Stay at the Haweswater Hotel Speisekarte ansehen

This restaurant is truly exceptional. It is a hidden gem, located in a private and secluded spot off the grid. We only stayed for one night, but we enjoyed afternoon tea in the main room with a Christmas tree, as well as dinner and breakfast in the brasserie. The staff were all lovely and unpretentious, making our experience perfect. The rooms were beautifully decorated in art deco style, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. The views were breathtaking. The food and drinks menu was small but perfect, and both the dinner and breakfast options suited our taste.

An absolutely beautiful spot. We loved the location with incredibly scenery and spectacular views from all areas of the hotel. The renovation to this place has been done to a very high standard and with great consideration and sympathy to the original features of the building. Whilst in my experience getting this balance is always quite a challenge it has been conducted brilliantly. Each original window tells a story and exhudes character and charm. The history of the building itself is of personnel perhaps less historically sympathetic but thats for people to find out for themselves when they discover this place. A great experience for us. An expensive two days in a delightful location. The hotel, its furnishings and its heating systems need some maintenance Rooms: Our room was in need of a great deal of repairs and maintenance Nearby activities: It's a long distance to other activities except for fell-walking. But the isolation contributes to the experience Walkability: It's impractical to walk to or from the hotel, unless going fell-walking Food drinks: Food is good but seriously expensive.
